Being one of only a hand full of Big 5 lodges in South Africa that are child friendly, Cheetah Ridge Lodge is the ideal family getaway.
Apart from superb big five game viewing on open 4 x 4 game viewers, Cheetah Ridge offers other activities like table tennis, fully stocked bar, a games room with big screen television for all your sporting needs. We also offer fishing as well as battlefield tours to the surrounding areas.
On your game drive your qualified guide will thrill your senses with sights and sounds of not only the big five but also cheetah, hippo, hyena, giraffe and over 30 plains game species.
Your guide will introduce you to some of the less known facts of nature including insects, birds and flora. A stop on your drive will give you the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy a sun downer and snacks in the afternoon or a hot beverage and rusks on the morning drive.

The Colonial style farm-house with its Boer War themed comfortable en-suite rooms and large old stone veranda provided the perfect backdrop to our game drives. We could not have asked for more attention, every request was met with an 'anything we can do to make your stay happy' attitude. Kirsty and Brad were star hosts, with a fantastic back-up team. Breakfasts under the trees, lovely light salad lunches outdoors, dinner indoors or in the Boma, added to by the staff impromptu entertainment of singing and dancing and the highlights of game drives under Brad's expert guidance. Perhaps a cherry on top was the visit to the cheetah sanctuary. Thanks for a fantastic break in a lovely environment with a great atmosphere.
