Built in 1792, and restored to its original glory the house retains all of the beauty of Cape Dutch living in Tulbagh, on only a slightly more modest level to that of the Manor House. Cape Dutch Quarter was one of the most famous places we have been during our 3 weeks holiday in South Africa.

TV was out of order. No signal. Reported the problem. Nothing was done about it. Lovely room and good breakfast.

The room was beautiful. However there was a light bulb missing from the fitting above the mirror, we only discovered late. A problem was also the breakfast - supposed to be from 8-10am. At 8:10 there still was no one in the kitchen. When the staff did appear the one was rude to me. We left without staying for our paid breakfast.
