Budmarsh Country Lodge accommodation:
Each of our 18 rooms is individually decorated, and designed for privacy and luxury.
Each room boasts beautiful antique furniture, a spacious bathtub, a shower, heated towel rails and a king-size bed fitted with a super-down duvet. Some of our rooms also include outdoor showers and Jacuzzis. Satellite television and internet connectivity are available in all rooms, as are books, magazines, dressing gowns and umbrellas. Charming fireplaces will keep you cosy in the cooler months.
Looking to create the perfect special occasion? Our Honeymoon Suite will not disappoint. With top class finishes, a roomy spa bath and private outdoor patio, this special suite is the ideal romantic retreat for newlyweds. We also offer poolside rooms, flanked by our sweet-smelling lemon and rose gardens, as well as our spacious Main Bedroom, which boasts a leather-top writing desk and comfortable sitting area.

Children over the age of 13 years are welcome and charged the standard adult rate.
During your stay, you will be served only the finest cuisine. Our executive chef ensures that each meal is a unique gourmet experience, with all meals being individually prepared and presented.
Dinner - Dinner is a six-course set menu, however, if you have any special meal requirements we will cater for these accordingly. A full breakfast is served in the mornings.
Sunday Lunch - Sunday lunch is elegant four-course (table dhte) lunch for R385 per person. Children are welcome for Sunday Lunch and those under 11 pay R 145 per child.
High Tea - With its exquisitely landscaped gardens, enchanting trees and magnificent scenery, there is no better place than Budmarsh for a charming experience to share with friends and special people. Morning and Afternoon High Teas are served Mondays through to Saturdays. Booking is essential.
Picnics - Budmarsh offers you the opportunity to relax, unwind and be treated to a charming picnic on the Budmarsh lawns.
Conferencing at Budmarsh Country Lodge:
The main conference facility offers sweeping views of the Magaliesberg Mountains while the second opens onto the peaceful and tranquil gardens. Both facilities are designed to inspire, motivate, develop and spoil your staff.
The conference rooms provide modern but formal venues. Equipped to host up to forty delegates, the facilities are of the finest available and are fitted with the latest in Audio and Visual technology, together with internet WiFi hot spots.
Surrounded by majestic trees and peaceful gardens, Budmarsh is a birdlovers paradise, and an ideal wedding venue. For all those exercise enthusiasts there are also a number of hikes to choose from in the surrounding areas.
For those who wish to relax, the pool and lounge/library are ideal places for sitting back and reading a good novel. There is also a Snooker Table for some extra entertainment.
For the adventurous, there are a number of activities in the area, like Canopy Tours, Micolight flights, Hot Air Ballooning, Horse riding etc.
From Johannesburg North
- Travel along the N1 South to 14th Avenue, Exit 80 (pass William Nichol Exit 95, Malibongwe Exit 90, Beyers Naude Exit 85).
- Take the Exit 80 off ramp and turn right at the traffic light.
- Pass under the bridge, pass the onramp to the highway, and turn right again onto Hendrik Potgieter (M47).
- Proceed along Hendrik Potgieter, pass Makro and Little Falls to the N14 intersection.
- Cross over the intersection (Sasol Garage) where the road now becomes the N14 (R28) and continue until the
T-junction at the Old Oak Tree Caf / Zenex garage.
- At the T-junction turn right onto the R563 and take the right fork towards Hekpoort.
- Continue along the R563 through the mountains into the Hekpoort Valley and look out for the T1 road sign to your left (Do not take the turn to Maropeng).
- Turn left onto the T1 road and continue until the Budmarsh sign.
- Turn right onto the gravel road towards the lodge.
