The luxury room upstairs is ideal for those who enjoy the extra space, or for families, as it is a large room with a king/twin bed, lounge area with fold out double sleeper couch, luxury bathroom with bath and separate shower. This room leads on to a huge balcony with built in barbecue facility, patio furniture and sun loungers, overlooking the canals and mountains. Here you can enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the area while relaxing on the deck with a long, cold drink, cup of tea or coffee, or your own braai. The tidal canals ensure 100% fresh seawater daily.
The other superb accommodation is three canal facing rooms, each with its own entrance, patio furniture and Weber barbecue. These rooms offer guests very comfortable accommodation with king/twin beds, luxury bathroom with bath and separate shower. Two of the rooms are adjacent to each other and are ideal for those traveling together or for families with 2 or 3 children.
The remaining rooms are both upstairs. The large, sunny room with small private balcony overlooks the side gardens. The room has king/twin bed, bath and separate shower and is also suitable for a family as there is space for a stretcher or airbed mattress.
The adjacent room upstairs also has king/twin bed and the bathroom a shower over the bath. This room looks over the veld towards the village.
The house boasts an enclosed patio with roll down see-through awnings and stainless steel built in barbecue available for your use during inclement weather .Here guests can enjoy their gourmet breakfasts in all weathers while basking in the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings overlooking the canals.

For the more adventurous and energetic, sailing, windsurfing, water sking, paddling, horse-riding, cycling, quad biking and hiking are great options. If you prefer to do-it-yourself, we have canoes and a canal boat for hire. Perhaps we can pack a picnic basket for you to enjoy while you explore the magnificent scenery up the Kromme River and our extensive waterways at your leisure.
Walking and Hiking:
There are numerous walking & hiking trails along the coastline and Sandriver. Some lasting less then an hour to a half or full day hike. On offer are magnificent walks along the coastline. The views are spectacular as one looks over the bay towards the mountains in the distance. The rocky coastline is magnificent and home to the Cape Clawless Otter. For the more adventurous there is the Chokka Trail - A slack packing hike for four days all around the coastline.
Relaxing at St Francis Bay:
For those who just wish to relax at home, you can enjoy a good book while sipping a long, cool drink on our private beach, or watch the children building sandcastles and frolicking in the warm canal water.
Port St Francis - Harbor of St Francis Bay:
Port St Francis is waiting to be discovered when you next visit one of the Eastern Cape's best kept secrets. Port St Francis, a working harbor is home to a large fleet of squid, hake and pilchard vessels with more moorings filled by charter boats, deep sea fishing boats and yachts from all over the world are surrounded by residential penthouses and apartments in a Mediterranean building style. A business center with offices, restaurants and other retail outlets finishes the picture.

Cape St Francis Lighthouse:
Seal Point lighthouse is situated approximately 30 km from Humansdorp and 100 km from Port Elizabeth and is home to the tallest masonry building, standing 27.75 meters high. The focal plane is 36 meters above sea level and the light has a range of 28 sea miles.
Joseph Flack, a civil Engineer and architect who was employed by the Cape Colonial Government at the time was instrumental in building this majestic building. He was also involved in building Robben Island.
