Addo Elephant Safari Lodge is situated in the pristine valleys of the Zuurberg Mountains, bordering the recently proclaimed Greater Addo Elephant National Park.

This area is regarded as Africas most biologically diverse, supporting 4 of the 7 biomes or eco-regions in Southern Africa.
The area encompass habitats ranging from semi-arid Karoo areas, across fynbos covered slopes which merge with impenetrable thickets and montane forests and extending into rolling grasslands.

During the walks informative guides will provide information on this unique area, allowing the client to be at one with nature.  Appreciate nature from an elephant`s perspective. Walking besides these gentle giants will allow you to observe the elephant`s habits in their natural surroundings.

Accommodation was superb, and staff were all extremely friendly and attentive, and always wanting to please. The elephant ride was fantastic.
All in all a really fabulous place to stay, and hopefully we will be able to afford to return some day!

We had a wonderful time at the Addo Elephant Safari Lodge, especially our hosts, Nadja & Kuni did an excellent job.
We are looking forward to a next visit in the not too far future.

An excellent time although a little lonely being the only guests at the lodge. We were well looked after, welcomed and well fed. It would be helpful if your web site tells us about the long windy 'off road' track we had to negotiate to get there as we realise after we could have arranged a lift which would have been much better.

We spent two wonderful days here. The lodge is very secluded and is definitely off the beaten track. Be prepared to go on dirt roads or you might opt to get picked up by plane (Mark, one of the owners, is an experienced pilot) and be dropped off at the private runway.

Accommodation is very nice, with Jacuzzi and balcony in the tent/ house. All lodges are secluded, with a lot of privacy.

Since the lodge has 3 teenage elephants, you will also get a nice elephant experience. The price also includes a tour into Addo itself, with the knowledgeable guide Walther.

The employees and owners were really working hard to make our stay something to remember. Eric the chef cooked good food, which was then served by the nice waitress Martha. Mark and Ian (the second owner) also cooked us an excellent braai on one of the nights. Many thanks to Posha (working in the reception), for helping us in many ways throughout the stay.
