15 The Shades - This stunning 1st floor two-bedroom, two-bathroom self-catering apartment has partial sea views and is directly across the road from Umhlanga`s main bathing beach and the magnificent promenade are approximately 200 meters from the apartment. There are variety of restaurants, bars and supermarkets, all within easy walking distance.
The apartment has Full Premium DSTV package (satellite television), free high-speed Wi-Fi internet access is provided throughout the apartment. There is air-conditioning available throughout the apartment with both heating and cooling functions. The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and Public Holidays.
The Shades is a safe and secure complex, with 24 hour security, electric fence, plenty of parking, and access to the communal pool, braai (barbeque) areas and garden, as well as laundry facilities.
The apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
The living / dining area is beautifully furnished. The full Premium DSTV package is provided on a 49-inch flat screen smart television From the lounge and dining area are sliding doors that open out onto a lovely patio (includes patio seating) with partial sea views.
The kitchen is fully equipped including an under counter oven, hob, fridge, microwave and dish washer. The dual washing machine and dryer is located in a dedicated laundry area outside of the kitchen. There is also a laundromat in the complex.
Guest access - The entire apartment and communal braai (barbeque), pool and garden areas. I do not stay at the property but I am just 5 minutes away and available around the clock to assist with any queries.

- This is a self-catering apartment.
- In the event of a cancellation of a booking the following cancellation policy will apply:
To avoid any misunderstanding, a booking constitutes a binding contract. All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation in the event of a cancellation. We will seek compensation for any cancelled accommodation that cannot be re-let.
- The maximum occupancy of four persons in the unit (4 persons - adults and/ or children) must not be exceeded under any circumstances. Failure to adhere to this will result in the extra people having to move out with immediate effect, or the booking will be cancelled and no refund given.
- We regret no refunds on early departure.
- The guest will be held liable for any damages or losses in the apartment. Your breakage deposit will be refunded after your departure once an inventory check is completed and all conditions are met.
- Cleaning Services - Monday to Saturdays` excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. This service is limited to: Making up of beds, cleaning of bathrooms, sweeping all floors and washing dishes. Linen will be changed every 5th day (provided not on weekends and public holidays) and upon every check-in. Towels will be changed every 3rd day and upon every check-in.
- Toilet paper, guest amenities and bottled water are provided on arrival.
- The Proprietor shall not be held for personal injury, death or loss/theft/damage to property that may occur during the guest`s stay, on or about the Proprietor`s premises. The guest/s hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatsoever nature including but not limited to that for theft, injury, death, loss or damage of whatsoever nature, against the Proprietor, whether arising from the Proprietor`s default, negligence or otherwise.
- The guest agrees to waive all rights to compensation, in respect of injury to persons or loss of or damage to property which may occur whilst on or about the Host`s premises, and agree to indemnify the Hosts/Agents in respect of all claims for personal injury or loss of or damage to property which may occur during their stay on or about the Host`s premises.
- On departure, kindly ensure that all windows are closed, air conditioners and lights are off and all doors are locked.
- Check In is at 02:00 pm and Checkout is at 10:00 am and keys and remotes must be returned. If you request an earlier check-out, this can be arranged.
- The guest shall be held responsible for the locksmith account if keys / remotes are mislaid, damaged or lost.
- No Pets Allowed.
- This is a no smoking apartment and under no circumstances is smoking permitted inside the apartment. You can smoke in the patio.

The Main Bedroom
The main bedroom has a king extra length size bed and partial sea views as well as access to the patio. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Quality bed linen, bath and beach towels, first aid kit, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and a safe are provided.
The Second Bedroom
The second bedroom has two single extra length beds which can be converted into a king extra length size bed on request. Quality bed linen, bath and beach towels. The family bathroom is next to the bedroom and has a bath tub and a shower.
- For a full refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 full days prior to listing's local check-in time (or 2:00 PM if not stated) on the day of check-in.
- For a 50% refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made 7 full days prior to listing's local check in time (or 2:00 PM if not stated) on the day of check in, otherwise no refund.
