The Kruger National Park offers a wide variety of accommodation, not only in size,Kruger Guesthouse facilities and visual appearance, but also in price range.

Please refer to Accommodation Types to view the different types of selfcatering units which are available.

Accommodation equipped for paraplegics is available at Crocodile Bridge, Berg-en-dal, Lower Sabie, Skukuza, Satara, Olifants, Letaba, Mopani, Shingwedzi, Pretoriuskop and Tamboti.
Restcamps Kruger BungalowAll the major restcamps have electricity, a first-aid centre, a shop, barbecue and communal kitchen facilities, a laundromat/laundry tubs, a restaurant and/or self-service cafeteria, public telephones and a petrol station.

Information centres manned by information staff are at Letaba, Skukuza and Berg-en-dal. Holiday programmes and evening film shows of wildlife and conservation are arranged in many of the restcamps. Please enquire at reception.

Nature trails have been laid out in Punda Maria, Berg-en-dal (also accessible to blind/visually impaired tourists) and Pretoriuskop.

There are also several satellite camps.They have no reception, shop or restaurant facilities and residents must check in at the appropriate parent camp.

Bushveld Camps

Bushveld camps provide luxurious accommodation in smaller, more remote restcamps. One or more accommodation units may be reserved. Bushveld camps do not have shops or restaurants. Access to all bushveld camps is restricted to overnight visitors with reserved accommodation.

Electrical equipment, such as hair dryers, cannot be used except at Biyamiti andKruger Bateleur Bateleur. Open verandas often serve as kitchen/dining room. All units have a refrigerator, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and a stove, either a two-plate stove without an oven or a four-plate stove with an oven in the larger units.
All units have private ablution facilities. Communal freezing facilities are offered at Biyamiti, Shimuwini, Talamati and Sirheni.
Night drives and/or day excursions are organised in most of the bushveld camps.

Bateleur - This delightful camp is situated on the banks of the Mashokwe Spruit approximately 40km south west of Shingwedzi in the beautiful northern Mopane/Woodland savannah of the Kruger National Park.

Biyamiti - Situated on the bank of the Mbiyamiti River is this intimate and secluded Bush Camp. Access to this camp is restricted to visitors, who have reserved accommodation in the camp, thus visitors are ensured of an opportunity to enjoy relaxed privacy.

Kruger ShimuwiniShimuwini - Lies on the banks of the Letaba River, at the Shimuwini Dam. The surrounding vegetation is predominantly Mopane, but the Letaba River is lined with large trees, including the very large Baobab, after which Shimuwini was named.

Sirheni - Nestles on the edge of Kruger's Northern Plains within the Mopane Veld of the region.

Talamati - Lying on the banks of the N'waswitsontso River, is in a good game viewing region, with the Big 5, Cheetah, Wild Dog and other plains game, commonly seen.

Bush Lodge
A bush lodge is an exclusive, private lodge with a unique style and atmosphere providing the opportunity for tourists to enjoy complete privacy, as it can only be reserved by one party at a time.

Only residents are allowed entrance to the camp. There are no shops or restaurant facilities, but the kitchen has a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, cutlery and crockery. Gas braais and barbecue facilities are provided and wood may be purchased. A bush lodge must be reserved en bloc.

Boulders can accommodate a maximum of 12 persons at a time. Solar panels provide power for lights and fans only. In addition to the main sleeping unit which has two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms (one with a bath, the other with a shower), there are also four separate bedrooms with bathrooms (bath and shower).

Roodewal can accommodate a maximum of 19 persons at a time. There is one family cottage with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a bath, the other with a shower). Three bungalows have three beds each and a loft with two mattresses, a bathroom (shower) and a small refrigerator. Solar panels provide power for lights and fans.

Luxury Lodges
Jock Safari Lodge is the first private lodge set in the southern area of the Kruger National Park. This luxury lodge incorporates the romance and elegance of the past colonial era, and reflects in its unique style the indigenous Zulu and Shangaan cultures.
Singita Lebombo is a private concession within the Kruger Park in the area of the former Nwanetsi Private Camp. At Singita Lebombo, you will experience Africa - majestic, unfiltered and unadorned. You will look out from your timber and glass guest unit at the continent's vast canvas.

Tinga Private Game Lodge - Tinga's two luxury lodges - Narina and Legends - nestle on the banks of the Sabie River, making it the perfect point from which to experience the full spectrum of Africa's game and wildlife, including Africa's awesome "Big Five".
Lukimbi Safari Lodge - Situated in the game rich southern section of the Kruger National Park employing highly qualified field guides which allow Lukimbi to offer Big 5 walks and off-road viewing of large game.

Imbali Safari Lodge - Set on the banks of the Nwatswitswonto River, this palatial haven comprising twelve immaculate suites of unrestrained luxury, is the ideal place to begin the ultimate adventure.

Accommodation Units
The following types of accommodation units are available (see accommodation types for detailed description):

Hut - single room units with communal kitchen and communal ablution facilities.
Safari Tent - permanent canvas tent bedrooms on permanent platforms with communal kitchen and communal ablution facilities.
Semi-luxury Tent - as above but with self-equipped ablutions and kitchenette.
Bungalow - single bedroom units with a bathroom. Some have communal kitchens while others have own kitchenettes with basic kitchen equipment.
Cottage - single bedroom units with living room, bathroom and kitchen.
Family Cottage - multiple bedroom units with a living room, bathroom and kitchen.
Guest Cottage - multiple bedroom units with at least 2 bathrooms of which one is en-suite. Fully equipped kitchen.
Guest House - multiple bedroom and bathroom units with lounge area and often with bar facility and exclusive view.
Bush Lodge - exclusive private lodges, with a unique style and atmosphere. Multiple rooms and bathrooms.
