Garden Route Hinterland

The hinterland of the Garden Route is the Klein Karoo, with the Cango Caves at Oudtshoorn probably the best-known attraction - as well as the Ostrich and Wildlife farms.

Try the Port-capital of South Africa, Calitzdorp, where you can also do horse-riding and test your skills behind the wheel of a four-wheel drive on any of the various routes.

There are various nature and animal reserves, as well as some breeding farms, like crocodiles and cheetahs in Oudtshoorn, in this area. Ostrich show farms, National Parks, Private Reserves - each with its own unique attractions and adventures, even to team-building.

Then there's parachuting and sky-diving, para- and hang-gliding, sailing, surfing, water-skiing, whale watching, shark watching, steam-train trips and even survival games.
