Crocworld is not just a crocodile farm, it is a complete wildlife experience offering a range of displays and activities to suit all age groups. It's core industry is the farming of crocodiles for their skins.
It is a 30 hectare botanical garden of indigenous trees and plants, which attract a unique variety of over 200 birds and hosts an educational centre for scientific, technical and general knowledge on the worlds species of crocodiles and alligators. The main attractions are the 10 000 Nile Crocodiles ranging from newborn hatchlings to 100-year-old mammoths. These descendants of the dinosaurs live in ponds with beautiful, natural and manicured surrounds, which allow the public close-up viewing.
Among the exciting displays of birds, mammals and reptiles, we also house a collection of Alligators, African Dwarf Crocodiles and African Long Snouted Crocodiles. Visitors can spend hours meandering the paths and byways enjoying the flora and indigenous bird life that abounds. Vervet Monkeys chatter in the trees and Blue and Grey Duiker, Bushbuck and Mongoose are often seen on the forest edge.
The breeding crocodiles are fed once a week, with feeding taking place every day at one of the selected pens.
Crocworld hosts an a la carte restaurant serving traditional and exotic meals, and a curio shop for ethnic and traditional gifts.
Guided Tours Crocworld conducts Guided Tours twice daily at 11h00 and 15h00 except for Mondays out of season. Highly qualified rangers will meet you and guide you on a tour of the complex.
The visitors can watch, at close proximity, these awesome creatures devour their food, and learn all there is to know about this living fossil that has lived on our planet for 230 million years.
