South Africa boasts some of the finest beaches in the world. Enjoy miles of unspoiled, exotic beaches. From the warm East Coast (stretching north of Durban down to East London in the Eastern Cape) to the cold Benguela stream around Cape Town and the West Coast.

Blue Flag Status
Blue Flag gives local and foreign visitors the knowledge that their beaches are clean, environmentally sound and adhere to international safety and other tourist standards.

Western Cape
With a coastline stretching down the West Coast around Cape Point and into the garden Route, the Western Cape's beaches offer you from desolated spots to internationally famed amongst the jet-set.

Arniston - small fishing village in the Overberg.

Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape is home to some fine beaches. The beaches of Port Elizabeth and East London are surfing hotspots and the Wild Coast is famous for its craggy landscapes and extravagantly beautiful beaches.

KwaZulu Natal
KwaZulu-Natal's beaches has great weather all year round and are wonderful - on both the south and north coasts. In between, the whole city of Durban is really just a life support system for its beaches! Favourites
