Protea Hotel Riempie Estate is situated on a private estate and offers luxury 3-star accommodation in 39 tastefully decorated chalets and rondavels.

Our establishment caters for both local and international tourists and is situated within a radius of 30km from all tourist attractions.
Oudtshoorn forms part of Route 62 and is popular for the Cango Caves, Ostrich Show farms, Cango Wildlife Ranch and the Wild Meerkats.
Accommodation
Accommodation establishment on our premises consist of 17 rondavels and 22 chalets. The stylishly decorated thatched roof units has their own private entrance and consist of the usual every day comforts.
All rooms are en-suite with Bath and/or Shower, individually controlled Air-conditioning, Hair Dryer, Coffee and Tea making facilities, TV with
e-TV, SABC 1, SABC 2, SABC 3, M-Net, Movie Magic, Sky News and a Sport Channel.
One of the rondavels is wheelchair friendly, designed specifically for disabled people. It features a roll-in shower with fold down chair and grab rails in bathroom.
Mini Bar Fridge, Cots and Baby Sitting Facilities are available on prior arrangement.
Some of the rooms feature safety deposit facilities, else it is available at reception.
The units are situated in a child friendly environment, offering a separate playground and jungle gym.
Restaurant
The service is of a very personal nature, preparing your order to suit your personal taste. The Protea Hotel Riempie Estate Restaurant specializes in cuisine made from the freshest local products, prepared with innovative and sophisticated South African flair.
Ladies Bar
A well stocked Ladies Bar that contains a comprehensive collection of Local and Cape wines, await guests with the friendly, attentive and personal attention from the barman.
Taste our locally produce Rijckshof Muskadel on a cold winters day next to the cosy fire place in the Ladies Bar or relax with a Sundowner Cocktail next to our swimming pool on those hot summer days.
Scrumptuous dinners can be enjoyed in the ladies bar during winter evenings next to our cozy fire place.
Conference Room/Banqueting Facilities
We cater for weddings, anniversaries or special events and the success of yours is virtually guaranteed. The conference room can accommodate up to 80 delegates in cinema style and about 30 delegates in school room style or u-shape.
For banqueting purposes we can accommodate up to 120 people seated with a dancing space and up to 170 without dancing space.
Swimming Pool
Relax alongside the sparkling salt water pool. We also cater for small parties, barbecues and intimate weddings at the poolside.
Enjoy a cocktail or have your dinner next to the pool during warm summer evenings with the most spectacular view.
Lounge
Internet facilities, a computer word programme with printer access is available in the Riempies lounge area. Wi-fi zone in lounge, ladies bar and hotel foyer. Fax and copy services available on request.
Birdlife abouds and birders will find the spotting on the estate a rewarding passtime.
Access control ensures safe parking.

Each Rondavel and Chalet is fully equipped with bedding, Television, individually controlled air conditioning, hair dryer and coffee and tea making facilities, each with own private bathroom. All rooms open onto our spacious lush green gardens.

04 x Chalets with one double bed.
05 x Chalets with two single beds.
01 x Rondavel with three single beds.
07 x Rondavels with one double bed, one single bed and one single sleeper couch.
04 x Chalets with two single beds, pushed together, each made seperately, but with one quilt on top.
08 x Chalets with 02 double beds.
01 x Chalet which consists of 2 bedrooms (one Kingsize bed, two single beds, two bathrooms).
01 x Rondavel with Kingsize bed next to pool.
Please advise upon making your reservation if you prefer a specific room and we will do our utmost to allocate it for you. Interleading Chalets are also available - please request if you prefer. How to get there:

The staff was very accommodating to my need. Since I'm a procard member, I wanted to stay a night longer and there was no problem extending my stay on a pay one get one night free voucher.

The hotel and rondavels need a facelift, however, the staff at reception and in the dining room are real assets to the hotel. Also would have more guests if B&B is offered as a rate and not the ridiculous charge for breakfast alone. We had breakfast at the Lemon & Lime for much cheaper.
