The resort offers a relaxed atmosphere in the midst of lovely Karoo gardens, and yet it is within walking distance from the shopping centers in town and a stone's throw from attractions such as Arbeidsgenot, the suspension bridge, the CP Nel Museum and spectacular ostrich feather palaces.
Visitors can choose between several accommodation options, which range from well-equipped camping sites to choice self-catering chalets.
At Oudtshoorn Holiday Resort they offer 24-hour reception and friendly service, because your comfort always comes first. The Resort is extremely kiddy- and family-friendly. The eight hectare grounds are completely fenced in and speed bumps on the resort's roads ensure that vehicles stay within the speed limit.
There is a playground where little ones can run and climb to their hearts' delight. In summer guests can cool down in resort's fenced-in saltwater swimming pool, or visit Oudtshoorn's olympic standard municipal pool next to the resort.
The lovely view over the Swartberg Mountains, the calm, windless nights and the contagious tranquility of the surroundings will ensure that you return here time after time.
Rooms Two bedroom chalet: The two bedroom chalets with TV and air conditioning - sleep 4, 5 or 6 persons. Bathroom consist of toilet, bath and shower. Kitchen with kettle, microwave oven, refrigerator, a three-plate stove, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.
Bedding and towels are provided.
One bedroom chalet: The one room - open plan chalets can sleep 4 persons. Bathroom with toilet and shower. Kitchen with kettle, microwave oven, refrigerator, two-plate stove, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. TV but no airconditioner. Bedding and towels are provided.
Rondawel: Very basic with 4 single beds with bedding a build-in cupboard with a wash basin, 2 plate stove, kettle, crockery and cutlery.
How to get there See Map From Johannesburg:
1. Pass five robots, the last turn off right is Park Road Norht, first you will see the Hospital on your left, then the Military Base and we are across the Military base on your right.
From De Rust:
1. You'll be entering Oudtshoorn by means of Voortrekker Road. Cross five traffic lights.
2. Keep on driving, take the last turn off right into Park Road North, first you will see the Hospital on your left, then the Military Base and we are opposite the Military base on your right.
From Cape Town:
1. You'll be entering Oudtshoorn by means of Voortrekker Road.
2. Take the first turn off left into Park Road North, first you will see the Hospital on your left, then the Military Base and we are opposite the Military base on your right.
From George:
1. You'll be entering Oudtshoorn by means of Langenhoven Road.
2. Langenhoven Road becomes Baron van Reede Road (the main road).
3. At the first robot turn left, pass two robots, keep on driving and take the last turn off right into Park Road North, first you will see the Hospital on your left, then the Military Base and we are opposite the Military base on your right. |
