Dinizulu Cottage

Dinizulu Cottage is situated on a small game farm 1km from the entrance to False Bay Park, 13km from Hluhluwe Town and 30 km from Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve.

This is the perfect base from where to explore Hluhluwe-iMfolozi and other Zululand game reserves, False Bay Park, St Lucia and Sodwana Bay. Enjoy the magnificent view of Lake St Lucia, which is part of the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park.

Our friendly office staff is available 24 hours a day to take your bookings and to provide information about the surrounding area. They are there to assist you in all your holiday needs.

Family owned and managed by Dinizulu Safaris which have been operating in Zululand for 41 years, specialising in safaris to the various Natal game reserves.

We offer full and half day guided game drives in 4x4 open vehicles within Hluhluwe-Imfolozi and Mkuze Game Reserves, as well as to other local attractions. all guides are registered and have a public drivers permit and a valid First Aid Certificate.

Accommodation
The fully furnished house consists of 2 apartments:

A: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining-living area and gauze-enclosed veranda with 2 beds. (Sleeps 6-7)
B: 1 bedroom, en-suite bathroom, kitchen, dining-living area, gauze-enclosed veranda with 2 beds. ( Sleeps 2-5)

All bedrooms are air-conditioned and clean linen and towels are supplied. Apartments have an inter-leading door and can be used as one unit for big families or groups. (There are special rates for children)

The kitchens are fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave oven, electric toaster, kettle, frying pan, stove/hotplate, crockery and cutlery.

All bedrooms have air conditioning, linen supplied.

A fast food outlet are available in town should you wish not to prepare your own meals.

Paved patios with braai facilities are available outside. Please note that the property is fully fenced with a security gate.

Unit A has 2 bedrooms, one with double and single bed, the other with 2 single beds with wash basin in room. Also 2 single beds in living area.
Seperate bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin.
Large living area with kitchenette, microwave oven, dishwasher, tabletop oven with 2 cooking plates + 2 plate stove, fridge-freezer, chest freezer. Dining room table with 6 chairs, lounge chairs etc.

Unit B has one bedroom with double bed, single bed and baby cot. En-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin.
Full kitchen with stove, microwave oven, fridge-freezer. Dining room with table and 8 chairs, lounge, veranda room with 2 single beds.

Linen supplied.

Open vehicle Game drives to Hluhluwe-Umfolozi and Mkuze Game Reserves.
One hour drive from Sodwana and St Lucia. Boat cruises at St Lucia, horse rides and walks in False Bay Park.
Other places of interest: Dumazulu Cultural Village and Ilala Weavers.

How to get there:

Contact Martie when you get to Hluhluwe Town and we shall meet you at the Total Service Station. You have to follow us to the cottage which is 13km out of town.

Summer clothes can be worn all year round. Always bring one warm jacket and pair of longs as weather can change very quickly.
