Vuyatela - Djuma Game Reserve

Grading:

Vuyatela meaning "come and visit again" is the pride of Djuma. This exclusive lodge has broken the mould of traditional game lodges.

The Lodge embraces indoor and outdoor atmosphere, making the most of the South African climate. A well stocked bar opens onto the flowing decks overlooking a massive watering hole, where you can often catch herds of elephant enjoying a mud bath or fall asleep to the grunting of the resident herd of hippos.

Facilities include a swimming pool, bar and lounge area, spa facilities and a library with wireless internet.

Dining at Vuyatela is a combination of Traditional African fare with International influences. Whether it is a bush dinner under the stars or a candlelit private dinner on your secluded deck, the Vuyatela dining experience is something to behold.

What to take:
Comfortable walking shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, cameras and binoculars, anti-malaria precautions (please consult your doctor/
pharmacist) light, neutral coloured clothing, swimming costume, warm jackets are essential in winter (May - October).

Rooms:

Each of the 8 suites was designed in a traditional African Kaya-style. A private lounge is separated from the bedroom by an expansive Teak deck. Glass doors open the indulgent bedroom to the view from the deck. Each of the units consists of a four-poster king-size bed, spa bath and outdoor shower plus plunge pool (set into the open deck).

DISTANCES:
Johannesburg to Djuma ± 6 hours (± 500 km).
Nelspruit to Djuma ± 3 hours (± 250 km)

DIRECTIONS TO LODGE:
From Johannesburg or Pretoria:
Take the N12 to Witbank, then to Middleburg. Take the R540 to Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Origstad and through the Strydom Tunnel. On approaching Hoedspruit take the R531 to Klaserie, Acornhoek and then
follow the signs for Sabi Sands to Gowrie Gate. Entrance is R110 per vehicle and R20 per person. Vuyatela are 2km from the Gate.

Road transfers from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) and Hoedspruit Airport may be booked with Djuma. Price available on request.

Guests may arrive any time from 12:00pm (noon).
Rooms are to be vacated by 11:00am on day of departure.
