Formerly known as Exeter Main Lodge the newly built and branded River Private Game Lodge is an exciting lodge incorporated under the Exeter Private Game Reserve banner.
Standard rooms at Exeter Main lodge have being phased out and have been replaced with 6 newly constructed and Luxurious Suites. Thus with the two existing suites, the new River Private Game Lodge will provide a product offering of eight suites in total.

Dining Area
The lapa is a magnificently positioned lounge and dining area overlooking the perennial Sand River and the savannah beyond. Teak dining furniture, deep sofas covered in the finest linens and ornaments from the furthest corners of Africa create a welcoming and relaxed ambience.
Cuisine
The cuisine, complemented by the finest selection of wines lends itself to an experience as exciting as any game drive. Sumptuous cuisine, suiting all culinary tastes prepared by our Executive Chef, can be enjoyed in an open-air boma, in the lapa or even in the bush.
Back in camp after our early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives, you will be spoilt by the highest standards of service and fine cuisine.

Each of the 8 elegant River Lodge Suites are built overlooking the Perennial Sand River.
As your eyes gaze into the nearby savannah, magnificent views from your private patio enhance the experience.
Relax on the private patio of your suite while viewing a herd of elephants in the river below or perhaps a hippo surfacing in the waters.

along the river in search of hippo and crocodile as well as the abundant bird life to be found.
