The Palace of the Lost City

This truly magnificent Palace, so legend tells, was built for a king by an ancient civilisation from the North of Africa, who made this idyllic valley their home until it was destroyed by an earthquake.

Now “restored”, The Palace once more offers royal hospitality and lavishes it’s guests with 5 star service, and is luxurious in every facet of it’s fabulous architecture.

The Palace is adorned with exquisite mosaics, frescoes, hand-painted ceilings – works of art you would find nowhere else in the world. The craftsman who are said to have fashioned this amazing Palace many centuries ago paid tribute to both art and nature, capturing elegant sable and winged cranes in bronze and stone and celebrating the mighty elephant with a life-size sculpture.

Rooms:

The Palace has 338 luxurious rooms and suites that offer royal hospitality with wonderful views over water or jungle for guests to choose from. The furnishings are intricately hand-carved and reflect the flora and fauna of Africa and attention to detail that emphasizes the personal touch.

The epitome of regal luxury is the King Suite (one of the four big individually named suites available on request) with hand-carved walls, frescoed ceilings and hundreds of custom designed items adorning two bedrooms, lounge, two en-suite bathrooms, guest powder room, library, butlers pantry and balcony. All luxury suites also feature a sauna and jacuzzi bath.

All standard rooms have entrance foyers, en-suite bathrooms, lounge and seating areas. Standard amenities include a carved armoire which contains the colour television, safe, refrigerator and butler stations; a direct-dial telephone; radio; hairdryer; electric razor plug (110/220v); air-conditioning; ceiling fan; 24 hour room service and message service.

Sun City has dazzled the international community with its glamorous casinos, gourmet restaurants, extensive sports facilities and star-studded spectaculars.
