Clara Anna Fontein luxury tented camp is a mere 28 km from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and easily accessible via both the N1 and N7 freeways.

We are situated in the Durbanville Wine Valley, famous for its excellent Sauvignon Blanc varieties and also close to the Tyger Valley Shopping Mall and many other attractions in the Northern Suburbs.

The Private Game Reserve offers a unique opportunity to sleep over and view the Cape's endangered Renosterveld habitat, as well as fourteen different animal species. The reserve boasts 8 Red Data plant species and has zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, ostrich, african wild cat, cape fox, springbok, etc

The luxury tents all have en-suite facilities. Coffee and Tea are served early morning and guests have an optional bush or lodge breakfast. Dinner is concluded with a fine port around the campfire.

The Bush Deli
Clara Anna Fontein Bush Deli is fast becoming a very popular venue to sit back, relax and have a scrumptious breakfast or lunch while experiencing the peace and quiet of the bush.

Rooms
Tented Camp
Become one with nature and experience Cape Town’s only luxury tented camp. The 18 tents are unique in that they all have en-suite bathrooms and are situated in a poplar forest, in the game camp.

The bush breakfasts make it a “corporate must” for companies. Very often eland and wildebeest come to drink water at the stream flowing in front of the tents.

The Tent Camp is ideal for hosting birthday and other parties combined with sleepover and breakfast. Special packages are available.

Cottages
Four cottages with 10 luxury en-suite rooms in total, offer spectacular views over the dam and vineyards. Self-catering or fully inclusive packages available.

This must be the best kept secret in Cape Town with Zebra's and wildebeest as your neighbours and peace your soulmate.

Activities
Clara Anna Fontein is the only game reserve within the greater Cape Metropolitan area.

Unique in that the reserve is home to eleven indigenous species of wild animal such as zebra, wildebeest, eland and grey rhebok, which roam free on the very last remaining renosterveld (indigenous bush type) in the Western Cape.

For the more active, hiking through this wineland wilderness is an unforgettable experience and nature lovers can search for a large variety of birds and endemic plants.

Clara Anna Fontein is proud of its association with the Durbanville Wine Estates and as such forms an integral part of the attraction of the rural community of Durbanville.
