Established in 1802, d`Ouwe Werf is South Africa`s oldest and most historic hotel and has defined hospitality and fine dining for centuries.

Restaurant
Breakfast at d`Ouwe Werf consists of a selection of cereals, fruits, juices, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, muffins and toast, followed by a choice of warm dishes. Tea & filter coffee are of course available.
During the winter months, the fireplace keeps guests snug while the air-conditioning, not to mention the magnificent vine-covered courtyard where most tables are situated, provides a welcome respite from the African sun in summer. Our extensive Stellenbosch wine-of-origin list makes it possible for the 1802 Restaurant to be one of the best places where one can enjoy some of the finest wine this area has to offer.

These rooms have a bath/shower combination each with its own personal character. Available in 4 double and 6 twin rooms and one room with inter-leading door which is a perfect room for a family.
Superior Rooms - 8
These rooms were refurbished in 2006 and are spread over 3 buildings. Furnished in a modern Cape style, these rooms are larger than the others rooms in the hotels. These rooms comprise of 2 double and 6 twin rooms.
Governor Rooms - 15
Named after the first governors of the Cape, these spacious rooms are all furnished in comfortable modern Cape style. They boast walk-in dressing rooms, large bathrooms and under floor heating. 5 double and 10 twin rooms.
Oak Apartments - 5
Luxurious apartments, perfect for long stays, each with their own kitchenette, dining room table and lounge.
