Situated comfortably adjacent to the casino and entertainment facilities, The Caledon Hotel caters for every requirement necessary for that perfect stay…whether it be as a busy conference delegate or for that much-needed weekend break.

The Caledon Hotel offers 85 comfortable bedrooms and luxury suites, commanding inspiring views of the Klein Swartberg mountains and the rolling wheat fields across the Bath River valley.

Hotel guests may enjoy a variety of formal and casual dining experiences as well as a wide choice of indoor and outdoor leisure activities.

Guests have a choice of restaurants ranging from fine dining to casual meals. Enjoy the Á La Carte menu at The Black Sheep Diner, a sumptuous breakfast, Sunday lunch or buffet dinner at The Blue Crane or delicious informal Italian-style cuisine at Da Vinci.

The extensive grounds and gardens with their intriguing walkways and sparkling swimming pools will provide much pleasure for young and old. There are safe play areas for children.

The restorative powers of Caledon's hot springs have been renowned for centuries, and were certainly enjoyed by the original Khoi-Khoi and San inhabitants of the area.

Today the Victorian Bathhouse, restored to it's former glory, forms part of the fully equipped international health centre, complete with Turkish baths, cascading pools, treatment rooms and saunas for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Casino
The Caledon Casino has a friendly and intimate feel, well suited to its country environment. We offer a full range of contemporary gaming experiences, including 350 slot machines, ranging from Traditional Reel Machines, Video Poker and State-Of–The–Art Video Reel games.

On the main casino floor which is also a non-smoking area we have 5 tables including table games like Blackjack, American Roulette, Power Poker and High Rise Hold’em Poker.



Rooms
The Standard Bedrooms are bright and spacious with light oak furnishings, these rooms give a real country feel and offer unbeatable ‘home away from home’ value for money.

Amenities include: Air-conditioning, Colour television with cable DSTV channels, Hairdryer, Direct-dial telephones, Multi-voltage shaver plug and Tea & Coffee making facilities.

The Deluxe Bedrooms are completely refurbished with deep mahogany furniture and rich fabrics, these rooms provide every comfort. The designer bathrooms add that extra touch of good living and extravagance.

In addition to the normal amenities, the deluxe bedrooms also have large screen televisions, mini-bar refrigerators and modem connections.

A suite at The Caledon Hotel is the only choice for the true discerning traveler. An option of one or two bedroom configurations makes them the ideal accommodation for business visitors, honeymoon couples and families alike.

However, to complement the superior furnishings in the suites we have also installed Jacuzzi baths and log-burning fireplaces.

The Caledon Hotel has a total of 81 Bedrooms including the suites.

How to get there See Map
The Caledon is situated next to the N2, the main route between Cape Town and the Southern Cape Province and beyond. A leisurely drive of approximately one hour will take you from Cape Town to The Caledon. You will travel through Strand/Somerset West with the picturesque Hottentots Holland Mountains as backdrop, over Sir Lowry's Pass and through the scenic beauty of Elgin, Grabouw and Houwhoek.

When approaching from Mossel the Bay side (east) on the N2, The Caledon is situated on your left hand side as you come around the bend towards town.

There is also a road from Hermanus which takes you to Caledon, while the R316 national road from Waenhuiskrans (Arniston) through Napier connects with the N2 at Caledon.
