Somerset Lodge is a spacious family owned hotel and guesthouse with a warm friendly atmosphere and comfortable en suite bedrooms. It is the oldest recognised resting spot for travellers in the area, the original Cape Dutch farmhouse dates back to 1850.
Somerset Lodge is rated as a 3 star hotel by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and is on the AA Travel reccommended list. It is a full service hotel and guest house with restaurant and is noted for its' colonial style traditional menu. Each of the 14 rooms is individually decorated and has its' own charm and character.
All have direct dial telephones, satellite television and en suite bathrooms. Choose from our choice of single, twin, double or family rooms.
Also available are the popular honeymoon suite and the private twin apartment chalet leading onto the rose garden.

Somerset Lodge is ideally situated between the sea and the winelands and is the perfect base for your stay in the Western Cape.
Beaches, mountains, winefarms, shopping, golf are all within a few minutes drive.
Fishing, diving, snorkelling, boat cruises, swimming, beaches, surfing and whale watching are all available.
For golfing enthusiasts we have a number of golf courses in the area including Somerset West, Strand, Arabella, Paarl, Westlake, Devonvale, Rondebosch, Mowbray, Spier, Hermanus and Erinvale, host to the 1996 world championships.
The famous Stellenbosch wine route is just down the road. Ostrich and game farms are close by.

Take the N2 direction Somerset West, turn off at exit 43, veer left towards Somerset West for 1km, at Main Road turn right, travel 1.8kms, we are clearly marked on the left hand side.
FROM THE COUNTRY:
Take the N2 direction Cape Town, travel over Sir Lowry's Pass, take the first Somerset West turn to the right not to the left, travel up Victoria Street to the T-Junction, at Main Road turn left, drive 1.1 kms, we are on the right hand side.
