Situated only a stone's throw away from Margate main beach, the Beach Lodge Hotel has offered warm German hospitality to visitors since 1951. Totally refurbished the hotel offers modern up to date facilities to business travellers and holiday makers alike.
But above all, it is the personal service, supervised by the German owners, that has made the Beach Lodge Hotel one of the most popular Hotels on the Hibiscus Coast.
Accommodation
Hotel rooms
Comfortable beds with high quality mattresses, most rooms have double beds, en suite bathrooms with shower/toilet and basin.
Futhermore all rooms do have telephone, TV with M Net and air-condition. Breakfast is available from 7.30 - 9.30 am.
Self Catering Apartments
As an alternative to Hotel accommodation we do offer also modern flats with cooking, dining, and recreation facilities. Our garden apartments have combined kitchen cumdining rooms, living room and separate bedroom with telephone.
We offer 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. The larger units have a separate second bedroom with a double bed and a singe bunk bed. Each bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet, with an electric hairdryer provided for your convenience. All linen and towels are provided, but guests should bring their own beach towels.
A comfortable couch seats four people but can also be used as extra bed. For your entertainment there is a a 52cm colour TV and DVD player.
Apart from using the kitchen to cook, there is also an outdoor braai at your disposal. The apartments are serviced daily, linen exchanged twice a week and fresh towels are supplied daily. Our clients going the self catering option can enjoy all the Hotels facilities such as our pool, garden, sun loungers etc.

Laguna Azul
Laguna Azul is a new 3-storey building that forms part of the well-established Beach Lodge Hotel and Apartments complex, which is only a 500m stroll from the main beach and boasts an elevator for easy access to all levels. The apartment sleeps 6 adults and 2 children.
The 77mē apartments consists of:
Open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area with ceiling fan.
Lounge area furnished with a double sleeper couch, armchair, TV (M-Net) and DVD player.
Separate air-conditioned main bedroom with a double bed and a double sleeper couch. A sliding door leads onto a balcony.
Separate bedroom with a set of single bunk beds.
Separate bathroom with toilet, hand basin, shower and bath tub.
Swimming pool.
The apartments are serviced daily (except Sundays) and bath towels and linen are provided. Please note that swimming towels are not provided and housekeeping does not include a dishwashing service.
Braai areas are available and one covered parking bay will be provided. The premises are secured by an electric gate controlled from reception and a night watchman.

Lounge around our beautiful crystal-clear pool and bar set in a subtropical garden; or you can get more active on the beach, the golf course or any one of the many varied activities available to you in Margate.
Margate Beach is the only beach on the South Coast to be awarded blue-flag status for safety and hygiene.
How to get there See Map
From Durban travel via the N2 (toll road) until you find the "Uvongo-Sealopes Rd" turn-off nr 33.
After leaving the toll road turn left and drive down to the coastal main road.
At the traffic lights turn right and drive on until you reach Margate.
At the first traffic light turn right onto Marine Drive.
After 200m you'll see the signboard for The Beach Hotel on your left.
