The Inn is an ideal base for daily sightseeing trips - you can follow the wine routes, exploring the quaint, historical towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl and the surrounding vineyards, tasting the fruit of the Cape Winelands.
Each room has its own verandah and private garden where you can watch the sunrise whilst sipping on early morning coffee. Dining on the restaurant verandah offers guests a fantastic view of the valley below, with wonderful sunsets to accompany pre-dinner drinks.
Cape Town is just a 40-minute drive away: visit the Waterfront and take the cableway up Table Mountain. Or simply opt out, locate a sun-umbrella and a novel, and laze beside the pool.
Enjoy a glass of wine on your private verandah until you can see the valley change as the sun sinks below the mountains.

All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms, their own private patio and garden, most with views across the winelands valley and mountain range.
The spacious Standard Deluxe Rooms, furnished in indigenous woods, are equipped with mini-bars, TV, air conditioning and/or ceiling fans. Warmed by underfloor heating or fireplace in winter.

How to get there See Map
Take N1 North towards Paarl.
Take Exit 47, R44 Klapmuts, Stellenbosch. Turn right at the end of the ramp and travel for 0,6 Kilometers.
Under Highway to 4 way stop.
Cross over the 4 way stop travel for 0,5 Kilometers.
Left at next road sign will say Franschhoek (R45).
Travel for 8,6 Kilometers.
Pass Glen Carlou, Backsberg, Cowlin, Drakensig and Rupert & Rothschild Wine Estates.
At stop just BEFORE RAILWAY CROSSING turn right onto private tar road, through gates of Vrede en Lust.
Follow the tar road for 2.5 km to the Country Inn. |
