The Isted Family - 1997 winners of the prestigious Grasslands Society of SA Conservation farmer of the Year Award - welcome you to the Lammergeier Private Nature Reserve, an 8 000 Hectare holistically managed farming enterprise, in the splendid Witteberg Mountain range. The farm, Upper Pelion, part of the reserve, is a Natural Heritage Site, where a rich variety of formerly undocumented wild flowers now thrive.
Some game, notably the Red Rhebuck and a variety of birdlife, including the Black eagle,the endangered Lammergeier (Bearded Vulture) and the Cape Vulture, is regularly spotted.
