Nestled in the heart of the Constantia Valley lies, "Glen Avon Lodge" This tastefully furnished gabled manor house of yesteryear, with its yellow wood beamed ceilings and breathtaking mountain views is an exlusive getaway.

Situated just 20 Kilometres from Cape TownÂ’s City centre, the lodge is within easy access of the M3 motorway between the world renowned `Waterfront`, False Bay, Atlantic seaboards and the picturesque fishing village of Hout Bay.

The ‘Big Five’ wine farms established since 1988, The Historic buildings of Groot Constantia and the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens are all situated in the Constantia area.

For shoppers and golfers there is ‘The Village Shopping Centre’ and four major golf courses in the immediate vicinity.

Glen Avon is owner-managed by the Stringer family; David, Annette and Wendy. Traditional Cape hospitality and relaxation all add up to the feeling of well-being that is so much a part of Glen Avon.

Fine dining is ensured by Wendy, our Cordon Bleu chef, and a selection of fine local wines offer a unique dining experience. Set in a private part of the ‘Olde Worlde’ country garden amidst rolling lawns, exquisite roses and shady oaks, is an eleven meter solar heated, salt water swimming pool.

The 14 en-suite, individually furnished bedrooms all overlook the garden with itÂ’s breathtaking views.

Superior rooms, and superior suites all have tea and coffee facilities, a bar fridge, telephone and television with M-net and many individual touches to make your stay more comfortable. Suites have a butlers cupboard with boasts a microwave, toaster and prep bowl, ideal for longer stays.

King and twin bedded rooms all have percale linen, Duane duvets, imported from Germany, ensuring a warm and comfortable nights sleep.

The bathrooms all have twin basins, large tub and separate walk in showers, with finishing in modern marble and glass. Organic bathroom amenities are provided.

From the Airport:
1. Take the N2 Highway to Cape Town and as you near the mountain take the M3 off-ramp to the left (To Muizenberg)

*Do not take the M5 off-ramp*

2. Continue on the M3 Freeway past the Constantia off-ramp and take the Ladies Mile off-ramp. When you reach the traffic lights turn left.

3. At the next set of traffic lights turn left onto the M42 to Tokia and follow the road, past "Peddlars on the Bend" on your right hand side.

4. Turn left into Strawberry Lane and left again into Glen Avon Close where you follow the signs into the lodge.
