Fynbos Ridge is set amongst fragrant Fynbos. There are spectacular mountain views and the property abounds with abundant bird life. The secluded pool is ideal to relax and unwind, or one can enjoy the many activities in the vicinity forest or coastal hiking trails, glorious beaches, top golf courses, whale watching ocean safaris.
Accommodation:Choose between a luxurious suite in the gracious Cape-style Manor House or a spacious self-catering cottage, newly refurbished with stone bath tubs.
Delicious dining and alfresco breakfasts are available, or pick your own salad from the organic vegetable garden.
Fynbos Ridge is 5-star graded with the TGCSA, and is Carbon Neutral Approved.
Activities:
Numerous hiking trails and nature walks through the forests and along the coast are within close proximity.
Swimming and tennis are available on site, with golf, bowls and other sporting facilities nearby. All the water sports are within easy reach, as are boat cruises on the spectacular Knysna lagoon.
We are ideally situated as a base for day visits to
Oudtshoorn and the
Cango Caves, and as a place to spend a few days en route from Cape Town to the malaria-free game reserves of the Eastern Cape.
How to get there:
Coming from George Airport:
Turn right out of the airport property. Drive until you see sign to N2, turn left carry on driving through Sedgefield and Knysna. Travel for 23 km when you will see a brown national road sign on the left hand side of the road with Blue Hills (with a picture of a bird) and Fynbos Ridge (with a picture of a cottage). 200 metres AFTER the sign, turn left into the entrance and follow the signs to Fynbos Ridge and office
Coming from Cape Town:
Take the N2 and drive through Knysna. Travel for 23 km when you will see a brown national road sign on the left hand side of the road with Blue Hills (with a picture of a bird) and Fynbos Ridge (with a picture of a cottage). 200 metres AFTER the sign, turn left into the entrance and follow the signs to Fynbos Ridge and office.
Coming from Port Elizabeth:
Take the N2 towards Cape Town/George. Stay on the N2 and do not take any of the turnoffs into Plettenberg Bay. 7klm after Plettenberg Bay you will see a brown national road sign on the left hand side of the road with Blue Hills (with a picture of a bird) and Fynbos Ridge (with a picture of a cottage). 200 metres AFTER the sign, turn right into the entrance and follow the signs to Fynbos Ridge and office.
