Fern Hill has a reputation as one leading privately owned Hotels in South Africa. The owners, Gion and Karen Poltera, have an established reputation as restaurateurs and holeliers. Gion is a graduate of Lausanne Hotel School and Karen is a granduate of the Cordon Bleu School in Sandton.

Was developed for the former President himself and enjoys a completely unique lounge. It also has two adjoining rooms with a bathroom/shower en-suite. The suite can also be served from a demonstration kitchen, which is built adjacent to it.
