22 Die Laan Guest House in Stellenbosch takes its name from its location in the famous oak-lined Avenue. The Avenue in Afrikaans is Die Laan.

In and around Cape Town visit Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Waterfront and the Green Point Stadium. Play golf at several excellent courses, including Stellenbosch, Arabella near Hermanus and Boschenmeer in Paarl. If you still have time, watch the whales in Hermanus, and go for scenic walks and hikes in Stellenbosch and the greater Western Cape.

How to get there:

From Cape Town International Airport:
1. Take N2 as if going to Cape Town. Almost immediately after leaving Airport, take N2 SOMERSET WEST turn-off to LEFT.

2. Continue for +/- 10 minutes and turn LEFT at BADEN POWELL/STELLENBOSCH/R310 turn-off. Turn LEFT on the R310 to Stellenbosch.

3. Continue for +/- 10 minutes straight along this road till you reach a traffic light at a T-JUNCTION, this is the POLKADRAAI RD. Turn RIGHT towards Stellenbosch.

4. Pass another traffic light and at 2nd traffic light turn RIGHT into DORP STREET, there is a SHELL GARAGE on the right hand corner.

5. Continue straight up DORP STREET until road eventually makes a natural turn to the RIGHT, and then an immediate turn to the LEFT.

6. Now you are in THE AVENUE. We are the 9TH house on the LEFT.
BEWARE CAMERAS TO AVOID TRAFFIC FINES: as you travel along the N2
from the airport, just before you reach Baden Powell off-ramp, there is SPINE RD.

7. Under the bridge at Spine Rd is a camera on your right hand side. Do not exceed 120km/h.
