Safari Camp Tsakane Safari Camp is a small intimate camp that truly reflects the tranquil yet adventurous ambience of the African bushveld.
Tsakane Safari Camps accommodation units vary in order to cater for a range of requirements and include luxury en-suite air-conditioned units (chalets), luxury en-suite safari tents and stilted huts.
The camp has been carefully designed to integrate with the natural environment.
The lodges entertainment amenities includes a splash pool and relaxation deck, entertainment Lapa, open-air Boma, cosy bar and Jacuzzi.
All meals are uniquely prepared in our boma on an open fire and served in the lapa or around the fire in our traditional boma or in the privacy on your chalet deck or at a table for two under a secluded tree in the bush.
The camp is unfenced and often patrolled by Lion at night. Buffalo, Elephant and a variety of game and bird species frequent the camps water hole providing entertaining and often exciting game and bird viewing from your chalets deck.
Prices include accommodation on a fully catered basis (brunch, light lunch and dinner Tsakane Bar refreshments), all Tsakane safari activities including game drives and bush walks and conservation levy.
Safari Activities Game Drives are conducted in open-air game viewing vehicles and last between one and four hours. Early morning refreshments and late afternoon sundowners are provided en-route while enjoying spectacular vistas with the majestic Dragensberg Mountains in the distance.
Bush walks are designed for the more adventurous and it is not uncommon to approach elephant and other game on foot. An experienced Ranger shall point out interesting ecological facts and relate age-old folklore while tracking across varied terrain.
Catering Tsakane Safari Camp focuses on nutritious and traditional meals, most of which are uniquely prepared on an open fire in front of our Guests. Early morning coffee, tea and confectionary is served on game drives and complemented by a three course breakfast.
Afternoon refreshments are followed by a three course dinner in our open-air boma. On request a table for two may be set under a tree and lit by an oil lantern in the privacy of your chalet. Conversations are enjoyed and friendships are cemented around our small bar.
Health & Climate:
Summer: September to April. Days are hot (Ave 32C) and nights warm (Ave: 22C).
Winter: May to August. Days are warm (Ave 25C) and nights cool (Ave 5C)
Anti-malaria medication is advised especially during the summer months.

The camp is situated a top a hill which towers several hundred feet over the Olifants river. Views from the lookout platforms allow one to see the river below. |
