3 Plumtree Cottage is a secure, spacious, freestanding, air-conditioned, self-catering cottage that sleeps 4 guests comfortably and 2 kids on a sleeper couch. It is bright and sunny, fully furnished to a high standard, and has a private, secluded garden with a spa pool - all nestled against the mountain forest.

2 Comfortable bedrooms with queen sized beds – one opens onto private garden with spa pool. Air-conditioned. DSTV satellite television and CD/radio in the living area. Large, airy open plan kitchen, lounge, Dining area and sun room with double sleeper couch.

Kitchen is modern and fully fitted with a granite counter (includes washing machine/tumble dryer/dishwasher). Lounge has a cosy wood burning Jetmaster fireplace. If you do decide to leave this sanctuary, we are 2 minutes away from the Hout Bay beach front and village – where you will be able to purchase any provisions you may require as well as satisfy all your needs for good food and wine in the large variety of restaurants and delis.

We are only 20 minutes of picturesque coastal drive away from Cape Town city centre and the V & A Waterfront. En route to town you can stop at the vibey Camps Bay beach and entertainment strip or cool off in the waters of Clifton beach. The world-renowned Kirstenbosch botanical gardens are a 10 minute forest drive away as is the splendid Constantia wine route.

Transport is easily organised – car rentals are cheap and taxi shuttle services a phone call away.

Activities:
World of Birds Wildlife Sanctuary & Monkey / Animal Park. Horse Riding on a number of local trails or on the never ending white sandy beaches of Noordhoek. Hout Bay Harbour is a full working harbour with several fresh seafood restaurants and taverns. There are also champagne cruises to nearby Seal Island and private charter boats to go on your own expeditions. Sunset walks on Hout Bay beach with sundowners at seaside restaurants.

A scenic 45 minute journey along the dramatic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point – where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet with awesome views. Folk who like to be active can hire sea kayaks to paddle in the bay, or go on one of several mountain walks, runs or cycles.

Directions from Cape Town International Airport:
Take N2 to Cape Town. Take the M3 exit to Muizenberg. This goes past the University of Cape Town on your right hand side. At the first and only traffic light you come to since leaving the Airport, turn right into Newlands Avenue towards Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and follow the M63. Follow this road until you come to a T-Junction. At this T-junction, turn right and follow this road to the Constantia Neck traffic circle. Turn right at the circle and go down the hill towards Hout Bay. Exactly 4.3 km from the traffic circle turn left up Hughenden Road. The road bears to the left and becomes Whittler's Way. Take the first right off Whittler's Way into Cherry Avenue. At the T.Junction turn left into Plumtree Avenue and then immediately right into Plumtree Close. We are the first house on the left hand side # 3 - palm trees in the front with plumtree signboard.
