Hartbeespoort Eco Lodge & Boutique Backpackers is situated only 20 minutes out of the city. Offering self catering boutique hotel style backpackers accommodation at a fraction of the cost of a B&B or Hotel.
This exceptional lodge caters to the taste of the seasoned backpacker who, because of experience, can be more discerning. It is not a converted house but rather a boutique style compound developed from scratch with the international traveler in mind because we know that you can afford to stay in better places. But why should you? You would certainly miss out on the true backpacking spirit. We have therefore developed a lodge that gives you the comfort and privacy you deserve without breaking the bank.
In fact you may find our prices cheaper than the last dump you stayed in...

Rooms
Rooms are 9 square metres with a 6 square metre stoep. The beds are bunks (Double at the bottom - and single at the top. The chalets are located smack in the middle of a Lucerne field next to our fly-fishing, freshwater dam so it overlooks the lake. Ablutions are located in a neat ablution block close to the chalets and are shared.

How to get there
Situated at: Agricultural Holding 305, Birdflower Road, Kameeldrift West, Pretoria
North West Province, 0068, South Africa
Directions from Pretoria
Take D F Malan Drive. Drive in a Northerly Direction.
Take R514 turnoff (Van der Hoff Road) towards Hartbeespoort.
Turn right at the last set of traffic lights near Mahem petrol station.
(Board reads "Ga-Rankuwa - Richardsbay Rd.")
Continue 1.9km then turn left at board that reads "Rietfontein"
Drive 5.2km on this road then turn left at gravel Rd T/junction "Birdflower Road"
It is just bast just past a pedestrian crossing board.
Directions from Johannesburg
Take the R511 from Fourways and continue past Dainfern on your left,
Continue past Diepsloot until you get a sign on the left R511 Hartbeespoort Dam (turn left).
Continue for 16,7 km until you get to a fourway stop.
Continue straight to the next fourway stop (2.1km).
Continue straight for 6,5km to a 3 way stop... (Directions from the Aquarium & Sediba Plaza.)

Continue straight to another 3 way stop (.6km) with Sediba Plaza shopping centre on your left.
At the next 4 way stop turn right (Rustenburg and Brits N4, R511) there is a Total garage on the corner.
Continue 3km to a 3 way stop and turn right the sign reads Pretoria R514.
Continue 11km past a Excel garage and past "Bynes Slagery"
Turn left at Kameeldrift.
Drive for 2.4km to a T junction.
Turn right and drive 3.8km and turn turn left at gravel Rd T/junction "Birdflower Road"
It is just before a pedestrian crossing board.
