The Art Gallery Guest House – Thandekayo is situated in the quaint seaside village of Hout Bay, on the Atlantic seaboard of the Western Cape of South Africa.

The Republic of Hout bay, as it is affectionately referred to by its residents, is a scenic twenty minute drive from Cape Town and only ten minutes from the magnificent Kirstenbosch Gardens.

The guest house is located at the start of the garden and wine route, on the foothills of the amphitheater that guard the town in secure and scenic surrounds.

From the balcony of the gallery guesthouse one enjoys a view over both the bay and mountains in this breath taking area of Southern Africa. Thandekayo meaning “warm welcome” in Zulu offers 4 star luxury accommodation with five stylish African designed rooms, all en-suite.

Photographs of Martin Osner and Koos van der Lende, two of South Africa`s fine photographic artists are on exhibition throughout the guest house.

Route from the airport to Thandekayo:
1. From Cape Town airport you go on to the N2 direction Cape Town.
2. You have to take the exit onto the M3, direction Rondebosch / Claremont.
3. From the M3 you go right onto the M63 to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Hout Bay.
4. You keep onto the M63 into Hout Bay.
5. At the traffic circle you turn right into Victoria road
6. Next road again right, Valley Road.
7. Then first left into Lentedal and first right is Luisa Way.
8. We are number 14 on your left hand!
