In the Tswana language, Bona Bona means "to look or to see". Our aim at Bona Bona is to ensure that you never forget the Fauna and Flora as well as the tranquillity of the African bush.

Conveniently located on the N12 Treasure Route about 2-and-a-half hours drive from Johannesburg. The one-of-kind Bona Bona invites guests to rest and relax in a setting that celebrates the sights and sounds, the people and the memories of a piece of Bushveld in South Africa.

Accommodation
Comfortable accommodation is offered in 17 separate, luxurious thatched chalets. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom which is fully serviced daily.

Each of the 17 luxurious room offer spectacular views of the bush surrounding the lodge. Every luxury is at your disposal in all of Bona Bona’s comfortably appointed rooms.

Choose between our standard suites, and step out in the nature, or our honeymoon suite decorated with the utmost care.

Should you prefer to be closer to nature; our fully equipped, self catering bush camp consists of six thatched chalets with accommodation for twelve people, ablution block and a thatched open air kitchen fully equipped with gas fridge, gas stove, cutlery and crockery

Our conference facilities offer you the opportunity to conduct your business need in the serenity of a game sanctuary providing a welcome relief from the corporate environment. Eland conference room can accommodate up to 30 delegates, the Rhino hall up to 150 people and the two Lapas up to 60 guests.

Wildlife
This unique wildlife sanctuary is home to more than 22 species of wildlife including Rhino, Buffalo, Sable and Roan Antelope. The Lion and endangered Wild Dog are part of our successful breeding programme.

The wildlife can be explored in an open 4x4 vehicle. An experienced guide will ensure that photographic enthusiasts get a close-up view of nature's splendour.

Bird watchers have the opportunity to observe the diversity of species in their natural habitat. Smaller mammals and fascinating reptiles also add to the diversity of wildlife.

Bona Bona is situated 50km south west of Klerksdorp, adjacent to the N12 Treasure Route in the direction of Wolmaransstad.

Our airstrip is at 27°1’272”S and 26°13’842”E.
