Blue Roan offers you privacy, romance and luxurious but affordable self catering accommodation in a beautiful country setting on a lovely farm. The farm offers a pleasant walk on prepared trails.

We have the ideal private hideaway in 6 new brick units with private gardens, patios and braais. the cottages are private, romantic and peaceful and very well equipped with far more than just the basics.

Winter is special at the Blue Roan The fireplace in your unit and electric blanket on your bed will keep you warm and cozy at night, while the warm sunny days will invite you to explore the Magaliesberg.

There is plenty to do in the area and we are easy to find just 8kms from the town of Magaliesburg on a tar road.
We regret to advise that we do not allow children at the farm. Children over 14 welcome!

We invite you to make use of the main house and sit on wooden decks and which overlook rolling green lawns, peaceful horse paddocks and the beautiful Magaliesberg mountains, or sit in the spacious lapa by a stunning rock swimming pool and watch the abundant bird life.

The cottages all have different layouts, but all include the same facilities, i.e. jacuzzi bath, shower, log fireplace, patio and braai, fully equipped and nicely decorated, with tv and dvd player. The view of the Magaliesburg mountains is stunning from everywhere on the farm. The walking trails on the farm are ideal for humans and your dogs too!

From Johannesburg take Malibongwe Drive North (formerly Hans Strydom) as if going to Lanseria Airport.

Turn left onto N14 highway to Krugersdorp. Continue on highway until you reach the first traffic light. (this is a major intersection at the bottom of the Krugersdorp hill).

Turn right at the traffic lights and continue to first T-junction (approx 10 kms).
Turn right at the T-junction and continue straight (bearing right at the fork) for about 8.5 kms.

Turn left at the big green signpost to Maropeng and Magaliesburg.
Continue straight for 10.5kms Turn right onto the R24 to Magaliesburg.

Continue straight to the town of Magaliesburg (approx 4 kms)
Go down the dip and up the hill to the other side of Magaliesburg.
Turn left onto the Koster Road R509. Measure 7.8kms from where you turn onto the Koster Road.

Look out for a sign for Blue Roan Farm next to a lonely tree on the right hand side.

Turn right at the sign onto a gravel service road.
We are the first house after approx 100 metres.
