Caracal The Caracal also called African Lynx, is a fiercely territorial medium-sized cat. The Caracal is labeled as a small cat, but is amongst the heaviest of all small cats, as well as the fastest. It is related to the Serval and the African Golden Cat. |

Cheetah The cheetah has a small head with high-set eyes. Black "tear marks" run from the corner of its eyes down the sides of the nose to its mouth to keep sunlight out of its eyes and to aid in hunting and seeing long distances. |

Leopard The leopard is the smallest of the four big cats. Once distributed across southern Eurasia and Africa, the leopard's range of distribution has decreased and now chiefly occurs in sub-Saharan Africa. |

Lion The lion (Panthera leo) is a member of the family Felidae and one of four big cats. Lions are unusually social compared to other cats. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males. |
