En-suite rooms with choices of king, queen and three-quarter beds elegantly decorated in a beautiful contemporary style, provide spacious accommodation with all the luxuries you`ve become accustomed to at Whale Rock Luxury Lodge.

Our en-suite bathrooms have a separate shower and bath and are equipped with bath amenities.

Deluxe Room
This cosy bedroom (Room 11) with King Size bed, en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower and under floor heating in the bathroom. The room has a private patio with thatch roof.

Garden Deluxe Rooms
There are 5 spacious Garden Deluxe Rooms (Room No`s 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10). Each room has an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower. All the rooms also have a semi-private patio from which you can enjoy the tremendous garden.

Sea View Suite
The Sea View suite (No 4) is situated on the first floor of the main house. The room has two (2) Queen-size beds, cosy intimate private open lounge and bathroom en-suite with shower as well as a bath. This suite has got a romantic private balcony with distant sea views.

Garden Suites
The two (2) spacious Garden Suites both consist of a bedroom with private open lounge with cosy fireplace and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. These suites each have a private terrace overlooking the garden and with direct access to our solar-heated lagoon pool.

Executive Honeymoon Suite
This privately situated Executive Honeymoon Suite ( No 1) boasts of an open bedroom and spacious private lounge, en-suite bathroom with separate shower & bath, a dressing room which could be used as baby/kids (
Garden Family Suite
This Garden Family Suite ( No 7) is located in the left wing of our main house on the ground floor with a main bedroom and open lounge. The Suite also has a second bedroom with 2 Single Beds. The spacious suite has a private patio a with direct access to the garden lawn. Both bedrooms have direct access to the en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Whale Rock Luxury Lodge is the perfect base from which to explore the Overberg. You will be delighted to find distances to Stanford, Arniston, Agulhus, Greyton and Gansbaai within easy reach of the Lodge.

We offer a booking service for all activities like whale watching (by foot, boat or air), Great White Shark cage diving, 4 x 4 trails, hiking trails, horse riding, birding, sea kayaking and golf. We are also happy to help with onward travel.

Cancellation Policy:

- 15 to 30 days = 50% of full amount of booking is forfeited.
- 7 to 14 days = 75% of full amount of booking is forfeited.
- 0 to 7 days = 100% of full amount of booking is forfeited.

Directions:

From Cape Town (City Airport Approximately 1 hours drive)
Take the N2 motorway to Somerset West,By-pass Somerset West and drive on over Sir Lowrys Pass. Stay on the N2, passing the turn-off to Grabouw, until you come to the Houw Hoek Pass. Go over this Pass and immediately at the bottom of the Pass take the signed off-ramp to Hermanus.

The remainder of the journey is approximately 28kms. Pass the turn-offs to Kleinmond, Fisherhaven, Hawston, Onrus and Sandbaai. You will now start to enter the outskirsts of Hermanus. Drive on past the Gateway Spar Shopping Centre for a further 2kms into Town.

You will come to a roundabout and take the second exit and carry on into Town. One block down is the Shell petrol Station, turn right and go one block down to the T-Junction. Turn right again and the sea isnow on your left.

Stay on this road (Marine Drive which becomes Westcliff Ave) for a further 2 kms until you reach the entrance to the new Harbour. At this entrance, turn right on Stil Street and Whale Rock Lodge is approximately 100 meters up on the right hand side. There are 2 large palm trees outside the front gates.

From the Garden Route
Take the N2 motorway towards Cape Town bypassing the Towns of Mosselbay, Riversdale, Swellendam and Riviersonderend. 10 Kms after Riviersonderend is the Stanford/Hermanus turn-off.

Turn left and follow the road to Stanford. Turn right Stanford for Hermanus which is approximately 25kms further on. As you enter Hermanus you will pass through approximately 6kms of Residential area.
At the second roundabout, the Marine Hotel will be on your left. Continue up Main Road, bearing right at the next traffic light until you reach the Shell petrol station. Turn left and go one block down to the T-Junction. Turn right and stay on this road (Marine Drive which becomes Westcliff Ave) for further 2 kms until you reach the entrance to the new Harbour.
