Throughout the week, our warm, welcoming Pub & Family Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week and provides a popular rendezvous for visitors and locals alike.
Our delicious pub meals can be enjoyed on the veranda overlooking the town square, on the patio in our secluded garden setting or in our popular pub, with a roaring log fire in winter.
Once a month we offer a gourmet evening where the owners, both experienced chefs from top London restaurants, offer a culinary sensation that you will not wish to miss. Bookings are essential for this meal.
We also cater for small conferences, parties and functions for up to 40 people. A select wine list includes a range of South African boutique wines.

Wakkerstroom is renowned worldwide for its abundance of bird life, with 374 species recorded in the area. Local bird guides are available to show you around the area. The Bird life South Africa Centre is based on the edge of the village towards Volksrust.

The Black Eagle 4x4 Route offers fantastic off road driving with a 30 km track and some of the most spectacular views in Wakkerstroom.
Off Road Biking
The Dirt Maniacs Off Road Bike Club offers regular organised rides, but the locals ride most weekends.

Wakkerstroom is a safe place and there are many beautiful walks about town and in the surrounding hills.

Heyshope, Zaaihoek and Martins Dams all offer fishing opportunities, while fully stocked trout fishing dams are only 15 minutes drive away.

Wakkerstroom Country Inn offers 8 en-suite, comfortable and tastefully decorated bedrooms. All double rooms offer queen-size beds. Tea and coffee facilities are available in each room. There are 2 Family Suites with have additional double sleeper couches and can sleep 2 adults and up to 2 children. There is a guest lounge exclusively for the use of our guests.
Our breakfast includes a light continental buffet, followed by a choice of Full English breakfast.. ‘Early bird’ packed breakfasts can be arranged.
There is secure parking for guests in the hotel grounds.
