Rolfontein Nature Reserve is approximately 8 000ha in size and situated next to the town Vanderkloof, on the southern shore of Vanderkloof Dam.
Tour of the dam wall, Eskom Hydroelectric Power Station and an introductory slide show giving insights into the history and workings of the dam. Visit by appointment.
Water sports and boating on the dam.
Angling is permitted in designated areas at the dam and a valid license is required, obtainable from the Rolfontein Nature Reserve. It is rich in numerous fish species, such as the small-mouth and large-mouth yellow fish, catfish and carp.
The Pied Barbet trail is a two-hour walk (4km) in the Rolfontein Nature Reserve, also by prior arrangement visitors may hike anywhere in the reserve.
