is a comfortable, friendly home where you can spend a good, relaxing holiday. Forest and pastoral views, rich bird life – and, if you are lucky – elephants wandering through their paddocks across the valley!
The kitchen is well equipped and is an open-plan design with the dining and lounge area. DStv is there for your use, and a real holiday bookcase!
Swim in the deep clear swimming pool, or have a sauna. On a balmy African evening, enjoy a traditional braai (barbeque) and feast at the great wooden table.
Or, spend lazy hours on the deck, thinking of nothing in particular.
Accommodation at The Place:
The house has 2 levels: two bedrooms upstairs (master bed & children`s room) and one bedroom, outside, downstairs.
The master bedroom (en-suite bathroom with separate bath & shower) has a king size double bed, and lovely views over the valley.
The children`s bedroom is just along the corridor and is twin bedded with lots of toys, teddies, games, a dress up box, toy box, suitable DVD`s and books. So our junior guests are well entertained, no matter what the weather.
Downstairs, outside, is the third bedroom. Twin bedded with view down over the gorge. This is a more private room. So not suitable for small children.
There are two bathrooms: (both are upstairs)
- The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower.
- The second bathroom (next to the children`s room) has a shower only.
That Place Activities:
There are lots of things to do in this area. First of all we are right next door to the first wine estate in the area, and they have a superb restaurant which serves wonderful lunches out in the vineyards (or inside on chillier days) and their wines are a must to taste.
Just across the valley is the Elephant Sanctuary (you can see them every day), and next door to them are the Birds of Eden and Monkeyland and just around the corner is Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre for those lovers of South African wild cats.
And not to forget the Snake park next door which also boasts crocodiles and monitor lizards! It's well worth a visit.
And if it's shopping you love, well there is a whole plethora just on the doorstep.
And of course, there are the renowned beaches of Nature's Valley and Plettenberg Bay. Quite frankly, you have everything and more right on your doorstep!

Clothing & Accessories:
It's always a good idea to bring a rain coat, you never know when there is a brief thunderstorm. But for the most part, the climate is temperate - winter is a great season here - gorgeous during the day, and chilly at night.
Perfect to light the fire in the lounge and eat and drink wine and generally have a cosy time.
Health & Climate:
The climate here is temperate, being close to the sea. There are times in summer where the temperatures do soar, and there are days when it rains - for we are the garden route, and gardens need rain to be lush!
Actually it's wonderful all year round, no matter what the weather.
