The chalets have ceiling fans for balmy nights, and heaters as well as electric blankets for chilly winter nights. All have stocked bar fridges and satellite Television.
The bathrooms en-suite have showers and baths – all with large picture windows offering spectacular views of the river and Outeniqua Mountains. Dining
Full breakfasts are served either in the dining room or on the deck (weather permitting). Light lunches are available for those wishing to stay and relax.
In the evening we offer a two course menu with several gourmet options. The lodge is fully licensed and offers a small but good selection of wines, beers and spirits.Activities
On the estate there are spectacular walking trails through numerous vegetation types – Cape Fynbos, forest, riverine gorges and open grasslands ensuring that the birdlife is both varied and prolific.
From the valley horse riding into the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains, as well as Mountain biking and hiking are on offer.
And after an energetic morning there is no better way of relaxing than a picnic at the river, and swimming in the refreshing rock pools.
Whale watching (August – Oct), paragliding and surfing are all available along the Wilderness coastline, whilst the surrounding Garden Route offers numerous championship golf courses.
