On arriving at Olive Grove Guest Farm you will be surprised at the beauty that exists in this arid and dreary environment.
This is a true oasis. The vast mountain vistas, olive orchards and Karoo countryside will impress on your heart that this is a land of enchantment.
We are close enough off the N1 (only 10 minutes drive, 15km) and far enough so that your stay won`t be affected by the continuous drone of vehicles on the N1.
This is a working olive, sheep and game farm, where you are welcome to roam freely on 5 100ha, by walking, driving or mountain biking the various roads and paths.
The choice is yours, self-catering or meals by appointment. We are TGCSA graded, 3 star for Self - Catering. We were highly commended in the AA Accommodation Awards 2005.
This is a reflection of the hospitality, cleanliness, safety, charisma, beauty and good value, bearing in mind that in fact we were rated by our guests. Remember if you look for nothing, you will find nothing, this "desert" supports over 200 recorded bird species, various species of large and small game. Fossils (+/- 250 million years old) and starry skies will keep the enquiring mind racing.
Olive Grove Guest Farm offers 7 luxury chalets with fully equipped kitchens. The spacious chalets sleep 4-6 people.
These are located close to the swimming pool and old farm dam. Braai/Barbecue facilities are available privately or communally.
Chalets are equipped with Air Conditioners, Hot Blankets, Heaters and Fans for any weather conditions. We take pride in the cleanliness of our accommodation, the staff are friendly and neatly dressed - service of chalets on request.
Warm welcome, excellent service.
You can't stay only one night! This gems should be a destination in its own right!
A great place to unwind & catch one's breath. Well worth spending a few days/nights, as we did. The staff were warm, friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. We would definitely return!
Really superb stay in a tranquil and picturesque setting. Certainly a recommended spot and the 15 km drive down the road from Beaufort West is certainly worth it. I would do it again.
