Old Rearsby Farm Cottages is an established bed and breakfast with self-catering option, located just outside Mooi River on the Hlatikulu road towards Giants Castle catering for guests who are in search of comfortable Country Style hospitality and living.
Our humble, but luxury home consists of 6 private cottages. All cottages are of a high standard, with en-suite bathrooms, log fire places & private verandas & kitchenette / tea and coffee making stations.
The six farm cottages "Umgeni", "Bushman", "Inzinga","Berg", "Mooi" and "Tugela" face an uninterrupted, spectacular views of Giants Castle and the central Drakensberg, or have sweeping garden views.
Old Rearsby Farm has the best vantage point from which to see the Berg`s glorious dawn and sunset colours.
For those who enjoy the great outdoors, fishing, golf, hiking and riding can easily be arranged. Weenen and Kamberg Game Reserves, the Sani Pass and Giants Castle make wonderful day trips from Old Rearsby Farm.
Accommodation at Old Rearsby Farm Cottages: Some of our cottages are equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, stove top, heater, fireplace, or tea and coffee making facilities. We accommodate adults, children and pets (by prior arrangement) and children under the age of 12 get a special rate.
We are pet friendly. Breakfast also available.

Giants Castle: Access to the central and northern areas of the majestic Drakensberg range is no more than a short drive. Giants Castle - the centre piece of the Drakensberg World Heritage Site - is just 45 minutes away on a tarred road that switchbacks steeply into the central Drakensburg. Giants Castle boasts one of the most impressive outdoor galleries of Bushmen / San rock art in South Africa - aside from offering walkers and hikers vistas of dramatic scenic splendor.
Midlands Meander: The Midlands Meander route incorporates a number of small villages and offers the traveler a unique experience, sightseeing just being one of them, not to mention all the different talent for example, artists, skilled hand craftsman, shops, galleries, restaurants, historical and environmental sights.

Spring and Summer: Temperatures ranging from 15'C to 35'C. Hot and sunny days frequent our summers with light to heavy showers now and again.
Autumn and Winter: Temperatures ranging from -10'C to 25'C. Mild sunny days with minor light showers but can get cold with snow in the middle of winter.

The establishment is in a beautiful setting. The room is really neat and clean. Staff is friendly and breakfast excellent. Lots of wood for fireplace. The 2 big rooms have braais on the veranda, but the kitchen is not equipped for barbecue. Jurie Scheepers May 2021
Directions:
Situated outside Mooiriver on the Hlatikulu road towards Giants Castle. Take the Mooi River toll plaza exit off the N3 and we are signposted from there.
