Nhabanga Paradise is situated close to the town of Bilene (200km North of Maputo) in the Gaza Province.
This lavish Paradise retreat is known for its beautiful inland lake which is 8km wide and 27km long and perfect for safe water sports. The view from Nhabanga Paradise is one of peace and tranquility with lush vegetation and white sands to feast the eye on.
With the Indian Ocean just a ferry trip away this is the perfect location to get away from the rush of the city and to experience the exquisite beautify of Mozambique.
A full restaurant with sports bar is 2km away from the camp.
Accommodation
Nhabanga Paradise offers 30 beautiful camping stands, all with an exquisite view of the lake. Braai facilities are available at every stand and ample shade is available. Each stand is also equipped with a freshwater tap and a rubbish bin (cleaned daily).
Fresh, hot water and electricity within the fully equipped ablution blocks ensures that you stay civilized although you are secluded from civilization.
Apart from the camping stands tent-chalets are also available equipped with double-beds and tent-cupboard. Full communal wash-up facilities for cutlery or clothes are also available.
PLEASE bring your own bedding and kitchen ware.
Fresh fish can be obtained daily, at reasonable prices from the local fishermen.
The beach is a 15min drive from Nhabanga Paradise with a 4X4, or 10 min with boat and Jetski.
Although one may feel content with enjoying the beautiful nature at Nhabanga Paradise or swimming in the lake (which is very safe for kids), there are quite a big variety of activities and water sports available for your enjoyment nearby.

From Pretoria / Johannesburg, take the N4 east towards Witbank.
From Witbank continue on the N4 towards Nelspruit.
After reaching Nelspruit continue on the N4 towards Komatipoort.
Once Mozambique has been entered through the border post at Komatipoort continue along the N4 (becomes EN4) towards Maputo.
After passing the tollgate at Maputo take the Xia Xia turn off (EN1) to the left.
When reaching Marcia (Approximately 190km from Maputo) take the Bilene turn off to the right.
When reaching Bilene (34 km from Marcia) take the first exit to the left of the circle.
Turn left at the T-junction next to the flee market.
Take the first exit at the next circle (at Palmerias resort) and continue straight on this dirt road. (Deflate tyres to 1bar)
Continue along the unpaved sandy road around the lake for 19km.
Look for the Nhabanga paradise sign on the left.
When not driving a 4x4 it is recommended to store your vechile at the available 24hr secured facility in Bilene and crossing the lake by ferry to Nhabanga paradise. Pre-arrangement is required.
