Misty Mountain is a 280 hectare South African Natural Heritage Site situated on the spectacular Long Tom Pass, 31 kilometres from Lydenburg and 24 kilometres from Sabie, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Perched at an altitude of 1700 metres above sea level in a malaria free area, Misty Mountain is uniquely set in mountainous countryside with majestic views across the escarpment and into the lowveld. Conveniently situated on the Panorama Route, Misty Mountain is an ideal base from which to explore the Mpumalanga escarpment, Gods Window, The Pinnacle, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, and world renowned Kruger National Park and adjacent private games reserves. Central to Panorama Route attractions - Graskop Gorge Lift, Pilgrim`s Rest, Sabie Waterfalls etc.
Misty Mountain is a relaxed, informal, family friendly, owner managed establishment. Owned and operated as a lodge by the Sheard family since 1974, Misty Mountain is a place of tranquillity and natural beauty an ideal place to relax, catch up and get away from it all. Friendly and helpful staff will ensure that guests have a memorable stay.
We cater for couples and families with a variety of accommodation options. Our tariffs include bed and breakfast and guests have flexibility in terms of other meals. Our restaurant specialises in superior country cooking lunch and dinner are available from our extensive a la carte menu.
On a summers day, lounge around in the sun on our fabulous pool deck. On a winters evening, huddle around the log fires and enjoy the warm hospitality of Misty Mountain.

Cancellation Policy:
- if less than two week's notice of cancellation is given, deposits will not be refunded. - if less than one month's notice of cancellation is given, 50% of deposit is refundable, - if more than one mont's notice of cancellation is given deposit is refundable subject to a 15% handling fee.
Directions:
Misty Mountain is 325 kilometres from Johannesburg International Airport Take the N4 from Johannesburg Pass Witbank and the Shell Ultra City outside Middelburg Turn off the N4 at Belfast (+/- 206 kilometres from Johannesburg International Airport to Belfast)
Take the R540 from Belfast to Dullstroom (33 kilometres). Continue on the R540 from Dullstroom to Lydenburg (55 kilometres). From Lydenburg, take the R37 to Sabie. Travel for 31 kilometres and see Misty Mountain on the right hand side of the road.
