Lower Sabie Restcamp is some 35 km from Crocodile Bridge, situated on the banks of the game-rich Sabie River in the southern part of the Kruger National Park, with excellent sundowner viewing.

With its large lawns and shade trees this camp is a very popular family destination.

Due to the abundant foliage and waterholes in the area, game abounds here. There are various excellent drives in this area, especially the one flanking the river’s south bank, and lions are quite common in this area, usually under trees and bushes in the heat of the day, but early morning and late afternoon drives should lead to to various sightings.

A small dam situated only about 1 km from the camp often hosts crocodile, hippo and various species of birds.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - were lucky enough to see the big 5 - both game drives were superb especially Travis who was very informative and fun.

Best place to stay in lower Kruger park. We camped here and the camp side was very clean and we managed to find a site with shade. The only camp we found where we could sit for the whole afternoon and see game. We sat at the restaurateur side and saw lots of game at the river. WONDERFUL PLACE will be coming again.

We have spent 3 nights in Lower Sabie and it was wonderful, the people friendly and helpful, the house very clean. Between Crocodile Bridge, Lower Sabie and Skukuza we were very able to observe many animals. It was a wonderful time and we will return. Thanks to all.

Good accommodation but a bit worn. Deserve a renovation.
