Lammergeier Private Nature Reserve
The Isted Family - 1997 winners of the prestigious Grasslands Society of SA Conservation farmer of the Year Award - welcome you to the Lammergeier Private Nature Reserve, an 8 000 Hectare holistically managed farming enterprise, in the splendid Witteberg Mountain range. The farm, Upper Pelion, part of the reserve, is a Natural Heritage Site, where a rich variety of formerly undocumented wild flowers now thrive.

Some game, notably the Red Rhebuck and a variety of birdlife, including the Black eagle, the endangered Lammergeier (Bearded Vulture) and the Cape Vulture, is regularly spotted.

Enjoy an adventure experience for the whole family, by staying at one of our accommodations and taking part in one of the many outdoor activities we offer, including -

* Hiking trails ranging from 1 to 5 days
