Lake St Lucia Lodge is situated in St Lucia and borders Lake St. Lucia with scenic sunsets.
Accommodation is in the form of self catering units fully equipped, very reasonably priced and serviced daily - two or four bed units.
Shops, pubs and restaurants are within walking distance as well as a public pleasure resort with super tube 2 minutes away.
Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park:
A very special slice of Africa, the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park (a World Heritage Site) offers visitors some of the most diverse wildlife and outdoor experiences imaginable.
This unique, 38 000 ha expanse of lake, islands and estuary, incorporates an astonishing variety of habitats ranging from the Lebombo mountains to grasslands, forests, wetlands, mangroves and vegetated dunes, with magnificent beaches and coral reefs.
This diversity gives rise to a multiplicity of fauna and flora. It supports an a abundance of Nile Crocodile and Hippo, as well as Black Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Waterbuck, Kudu, Nyala, Impala, Duiker and Reedbuck, amongst a host of other species.
The park is famous for its birdlife. Birdlife is prolific and includes flamingos, pelicans, herons, terns, ducks, geese and storks - as well as many other rare and spectacular species.
Try your hand at canoeing while enjoying a wilderness trail, and if snorkeling, angling or boating take your fancy, this is the place to indulge yourself.
Migrant whales and dolphins cavorting along the coast, leatherback and loggerhead turtles, nesting on the beaches at night in summer, add to the parks special attractions.

From the South e.g Durban International Airport, Take the N2 North. Approximately 225.00 km later leave the N2 and turn-off to Mtubatuba.
At the T-Junction turn left and then approximately 360 metres later turn right into the R618. Approximately 25km further you enter St Lucia Estuary.
From the North e.g. Pongola. You continue on the N2 South and approximately 170 km further leave the N2 and turn off to Mtubatuba. The R618 leads off to your left and 25 km further you enter St Lucia Estuary.
When you cross the bridge into St Lucia, turn right at the Traffic Circle into the main road Mc Kenzie Street.
You pass all the shops and restaurants, carry on till you find the next Traffic Circle, don’t turn carry straight about 50 meters on your right hand side you will see the sign board Lake St Lucia Lodge.
