Lake Eland Game Reserve
is a fresh privately-owned game reserve in the Oribi Gorge area, offering adventure activities activities and self-catering accommodation.
A mere 40 minutes drive inland from Port Shepstone on the KZN South Coast, the reserve has plains game including giraffe, zebra and wildebeest and antelope from the tiny duiker up to the giant eland. Climb down to the "Bushman Caves", walk across the suspension bridge, or even slide on our Zip Line which at 4,5 kilometers is the longest in Africa.
Our licenced restaurant offers breakfasts and lunches. The log cabins have braai areas and self-catering kitchens and most have a fireplace indoors as well.
Accommodation at Lake Eland Game Reserve:
Rooms in the log cabins have comfy beds, wooden or tiled floors and a compact self-catering kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, kettle, toaster, microwave and electric frying pan.
Most of the lounges have an indoor fireplace and all have a ceiling fan. All have views of the cabin dams, and many have decks over the water.

Game viewing (self-drive), horse riding, paint ball, walking, bring your own mountain bike for awesome single track trails, bring your own gear for fishing in the dams, bring your own vehicles for our custom 4x4 trails (quads and dirt bikes welcome) and come ready to have your adrenaline raised while walking across the suspension bridge or sliding for 3 hours on the Zip Line tour.
