Jaci`s Safari and Tree Lodges - These two exceptional, privately owned lodges, run by Jan and Jaci, together with an outstanding team, will exceed all your safari expectations. Situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of "Top Ten" territory.

Jaci`s Safari Lodge:
Enjoy fire cooked meals in our enclosed boma, or under the stars at a bush braai. Lounge at the pool or enjoy bird watching from the hammock on the bank of the Groot Marico River. Indulge yourself in your surroundings Jaci`s is built around an ancient termite mound overlooking an established and well used water hole, under a grove of Tamboti trees, on the edge of the Marico River.

Jaci`s Safari Lodge now has a fully equipped gym, overlooking the river and situated between Jaci`s Safari Lodge and Jaci`s Tree Lodge.

Between the early morning and evening game drives and walks, there is a cool swimming pool overlooking the river. Lie in a hammock, sip an ice-cold drink, watch the birds, the butterflies and beasts, relax, unwind. The day, the place, the ambiance are yours, in peace.

Jaci`s Safari Lodge - With only seven rooms, the Safari Cottage and the exclusive 2 bed-roomed Nare Suite. All the rooms and the Nare Suite are built using shaggy thatched roofs and canvas walls to create a "tented" feel. Each room has and open plan bathroom with a hand built "rock" bath and outdoor "safari" shower. A private wooden viewing deck at the entrance overlooks a small stream where animals and birds come to drink.

Jaci`s Tree Lodge:
Jaci`s Tree Lodge opened in December 2002 - with Eight "Tree Houses", each encompassing a giant Tambotie or Leadwood Tree. Each Tree House is constructed amongst the Riverine forest on stilts, up to 6 meters above the ground. In these spacious Tree Houses built utilizing a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors - the forest surrounds are invited in, to compliment your stay with us. An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor Jungle Shower allow you to enjoy your forest surrounds.

Relax, on the deck in front of your room, in the main lodge or wander to the forest pool to cool off. Raised wooden walkways, suspended in the forest canopy lining the banks of the Marico River, will connect with the extraordinary Main Lodge and its generous facilities.

The spacious open-plan main building at Jaci`s Tree Lodge includes a magnificent bar and lounge area separate from the dining area by a 4 sided open fireplace.

Expect outstanding meals from our open plan kitchen, bountiful cosmopolitan food! Enjoy outdoor dining on deck above the forest floor, enjoy the night symphony and the vibrant stars above.

The raised rosewood walkways link the rooms to the main lodge - inviting you to explore your luxurious tree house. Luxurious silk cushions, cotton bed linen complimented by burnt orange suede beanbags, invite you to lie on the deck to admire the stars. The open plan bathroom features an enormous stone bath and handmade copper taps as well as an outdoor "jungle" shower.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations fees applicable as follows:
• All cancellations must be in writing and will be accepted from date of receipt.
• 90 Days or longer prior to arrival date 10% of the booking fee is a cancellation fee
• 90 to 61 days prior to arrival date 25% of the booking fee is a cancellation fee
• 60 to 15 days prior to arrival 50% of the booking fee is a cancellation fee
• 14 days and less prior to arrival 100% of the booking fee is a cancellation fee

Directions:

Directions from OR/JHB/Pretoria/Sun City: Approx a 3- hr drive to the Lodge, refuel at Sun Village, as there is no fuel available inside the Reserve. After leaving Oliver Tambo Intl airport, watch out for the sign saying R21 PRETORIA / KEMPTON PARK. It is on the left, and the turning is soon after leaving the Airport, so keep a sharp lookout. Follow the signs to Pretoria and N1 PIETERSBERG/POLOKWANE After approx. 36 kms you will see big signs over the highway you need to follow the direction N1 PIETERSBERG/POLOKWANE turn onto this highway (you are now travelling in a northerly direction) and go for quite a while. You will see signs for a toll road called Bakwenya Platinum Highway N4 Rustenberg. Take this toll road. Once on the N4 continue in the Rustenberg direction - take exit R556 Sun City/Majakaneng. Turn right at the top of the off ramp to Sun City and continue straight to Sun City (approx 73 kms to Sun City from this off ramp). After passing Sun City on the right, continue straight about 5km until you reach a four-way junction. Turn right to DERDEPOORT. Follow the road for approx. 8 kms, and turn left at the sign saying BAPONG. Continue straight along this road (ignoring ALL signs saying Madikwe etc.), after passing through MABESKRAAL you will come to a 4 way stop - turn right to DERDEPOORT after about 25kms the tar road ends and becomes gravel/dirt, the Dwarsberg Liquor Store is on your left, continue straight along the gravel road towards MOLATEDI Village (do not take the next Derdepoort turning to the right, continue straight), pass through the Molatedi village, over the Marico River and straight to the MOLATEDI GATE entrance into the Park. From here, just follow the signs to Jaci's Safari Lodge.
