Hitgeheim Country Lodge consists of 5 superior deluxe chalets, 3 luxury chalets, 6 luxury family rooms and 1 family chalet set amongst indigenous gardens with prolific birdlife.
Each chalet and room offers stylishly appointed bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms, private wooden decks with panoramic views overlooking the Valley below and the Addo Elephant National Park in the distance.
The superior and luxury chalets are individually designed and decorated to meet the discerning traveller`s need for space, luxury and privacy and are ideal for couples. Children cannot be accommodated in these chalets.
The luxury family room and family chalet are ideal for families, groups and couples travelling together. An additional single bed can be added to the room to accommodate children under the age of 14 years.
Room features include air-conditioning, heating, electric blankets, bathrobes, bathroom amenities, hairdryer, electronic safe, mini-bar, complimentary sherry, snack basket, coffee and tea facilities, and wireless internet connection. Extra-length twin or king beds available.
The wet style bathrooms are finished in natural stone and offer separate toilets and outdoor showers.

Take the N2 towards Grahamstown. Outside Port Elizabeth you will cross the Swartkops River, pass Bluewater Bay and 500m further you take the first exit (Motherwell / Markman / St Georges).
At stop you turn left onto the R335 and follow road to ADDO for approximately 40km. After you crossed the railway line turn left onto R336 towards Kirkwood. Continue along R336 for 9 km, turn left at Hitgeheim signboard, follow road for 2 km and turn left onto eco-reserve.
Follow signage to the Lodge. Please note that this is a game area so drive slowly 20km/h!Transfers from Port Elizabeth arranged. Air transfers to Hitgeheim available - landing strip on the reserve.
Children of all ages welcome. Infants 0-2 years old complimentary in a cot.
Children 3-12 years can share with adults on a Daybed at additional cost per night, on request only.
