We welcome you at the Elephant Coast Guesthouse in South Africa, an oasis of peace and tranquility situated close to the beach and with the St. Lucia Wetlands Park bordering our back garden.

All of our rooms are nicely decorated, have a private terrace or balcony, and have a great view (all at affordable rates!). To enjoy your stay in St. Lucia we recommend a stay of at least 3 nights.

The guesthouse team speaks Afrikaans, English, Zulu, Dutch, French and German.

Accommodation at the Elephant Coast Guesthouse:
All of the elegantly furnished rooms are decorated in a modern African style and all have their own patios overlooking the pool area and into the coastal dune forests.

There is either a double or two single stylish lounge chairs in each room.

All of the rooms are fitted with air conditioners hair dryers, wall safes, clock radios, hospitality trays, stocked bar fridge and luxury en-suite bathrooms including a bath and shower.

Double rooms, Twin or Triple rooms and a Family unit are available.

Cancellation Policy:

Failure of Guests to arrive, or cancellations made 0 to 7 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 100% of the deposit or a 100 % cancellation fee of the final contracted value for STO Customers. (Provided the Guesthouse is unable to sell the room/s). Cancellations made 7 to 14 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 100 % of the deposit or a 50 % cancellation fee of the final contracted value for STO Customers. (Provided the Guesthouse is unable to sell the room/s). Cancellations made 15 to 28 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 75% of the deposit. Cancellations made 29 days or more prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 50% of the deposit. Cancellations would only be valid if confirmed in writing by both parties. Please include your banking details on instruction to cancel a reservation. On receipt of a written instruction to cancel the reservation, we will refund the applicable amount as determined by the cancellation terms, within 5 working days. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional R185 charge will be levied. BOOKING & PAYMENT POLICIES. 1. The Elephant Coast Guesthouse requires a 50% deposit payment from all PRIVATE and ON - LINE Booking Companies before a reservation is confirmed. (Booking.com, Nightsbridge, Booksure, Rooms for Africa, Safari Now, Sleeping-Out, Travel Ground etc.) 2. All PROVISIONAL Bookings from STO Customers must be confirmed with-in seven to ten working days or an extension time should be requested in writing. 3. All STO Customers (Travel Agents and Tour Operators) must pay a confirmed booking by the Elephant Coast Guesthouse two to three weeks BEFORE the arrival of their clients. We thank you all for your continuous support over the years but we prefer that this standing pre-payment terms be complied with at all times in a professional way to strengthen our good standing relationship for the future.

Directions:

- You will be travelling on the N2 either from Durban (South Side) or from Johannesburg, Kruger Park, Swaziland, Pongola, Mkuze & Hluhluwe (North Side).

- Turn off the N2 High Way at MTUBATUBA, which is 27 km from St. Lucia.

- Take the R618 from Mtubatuba to ST. LUCIA. On arriving in St. Lucia, you would cross the bridge over the St. Lucia Estuary and reach a 3 way yield sign.

- Turn left & immediately right into BEACH ROAD.

- Take the second (2nd) street right, KINGFISHER STREET, the first (1ste) house on your LEFT is ELEPHANT COAST GUEST HOUSE, you have reached your destination - safe travelling!
